Over 40% steal BvB, 40% fold to 3b with over 25% 4bet. Is this OK or spewy?

i might do this if i have been really tight and villain has to give me credit for a hand, but to avoid getting 4bet and playing a huge pot with a bad hand ill just flat and outplay villain using position

i dont really like it vs this guy. you have a reasonably tight image and i dont think he would be 4 bet bluffing vs you often

i have different stats on him so im thinking you dont have a big enough sample size. iirc he is much tighter than you suggest

Alot of the time these type of spots come down to game flow - if you have 3 bet him a few times prior to this and you think he will try to 4 bet bluff to put you in your place i can see more merit to it, but to do this out of the blue would be spewy imo.

If you going to 5b bluffshove dont do it with A5o. Do it with like 67s or something. Personally, 5b bluffshove isnt going to be too profitable at 100bb deep. Usually when they 4b at 100bb deep at NL25, they are not going to fold too often to a shove...

I am a degen. Do not believe in any of my advice.

I think this move heavily depends on gameflow, recent history between you. have you seen him 4b bluffing before?

the stats doesn't mean much unless you have a big sample

A5o is worse than 76s here? rly?

always having 30% > than having 20% vs overpair, no?

Browsing through your hand histories makes me wonder that you might not be aware these games are possibly play money. Have you ever tried to cash out? - Kapol

I'm thinking about this as well. Isn't 67s better to 3b with, because when you get called you are dominated less frequently? Plus you hit alot of boards / draws that you can play super fast against a 3betting calling range that can have a hard time stacking off?

In this scenario you are shoving, so it doesn't really matter how you play postflop streets, it's more about equity. Since the A5o does block some hands that dominate you, and you get to see 5 cards no matter what it seems that preflop equity seems more important?

If some pro could clarify this it would be nice!

Poker is fun.

lol my first thought, 3-bet J2s or 95s

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same
