You have to bet flop. 100%, no matter what |

Since the flop is K66 and villain calls with crap oop, why not let villain hang himself on turn/river? We are good almost always on this flop but won't get called by worse...

You can't trap with A-9 high. You don't bet preflop in position with a hand like this to take a passive line. The logic is inherently flawed |

Clean up the dead equity.
You don't have enough of his range sufficiently beat to check back here |

I don't see how we can decide pre flop that we have to play this hand aggressively post flop. That is flawed logic to me. You can trap with anything on the right board. If villain doesn't have us beat he has at most six outs.
I think villain very rarely calls flop with worse/folds better, so unless we are setting up some kind of multi street play betting flop is only for protection. Feels like turning a good hand into a bluff.
Of course everything I've said is based on the hand villain showed up with.

rockman is a solid player, he has good reasons for checking flop. possibly that opponent has a wide preflop range and is compeletly spastic w re-rasing and floats such that we have zero fold equity on flop.
Being agressive is good, but thinking of alternate lines, then comparing for which makes the most EV is better.
Robots will bleed money because their thought process isn't spohisticated enough.

checking flop is fine - so is betting
checking is a little tougher since you will be calling unimproved on later streets often, thats why most people dont do it |
