lead turn or ch/raise ? villain is a reg 24/20. calls 3bet 60pct. fairly aggresive. i have been 3betting light at the table.

why do you 3-bet this from SB vs a reg who calls 60% 3bet?

i just woke up so my brain might not be working yet but i think with your description of dynamic the money is going on turn with all his made-ish hands regardless of what you do. he probably raises most FD's on flop. but c/r gets another bet out of his random floats and betting doesn't (even though this isn't really the kind of board most regs float w/air) so i'd say c/r. it's just hard for me to imagine an aggro reg checking anything back on this turn with the stack/pot sizes.

well I just woke up too but why would we make him commit with the weaker part of his made hand range that beat us? If we stick it in anyway why not open jam?
I think shove>lead>c/s because a good reg will very rarely bet worse and call or bet with better and fold

i talked to a friend of mine, and he suggested to to have chosen a different bet sizing and go bet/bet/shove. i like that line.

turn was 2d. i check, going for a ch/raise, and villain checked back.

river 4h. friend of mine suggested ch/bluffcatch, and i think it's the best line.

i lead river just over half pot and got shoved on (way to butcher the hand)

there's 108 in the pot on the turn and you have 160 left
you have 30% vs most overpairs (QQ+ excluded a lot) and enough of FE if you ship. Even if you never do this with aces/kings (you probably should sometimes) he can't possibly know it
but why would you lead half pot river if turn checked through? He can play perfectly and you have a good bluff catcher =(

well in my eyes he's never folding a hand that beats us anyway so it's just a matter of getting max value vs draws and floats. if we shove we lose value from stuff like QJcc/JTcc/T9cc which can't call a shove but might commit themselves when we check turn. i assume 98cc, Axcc are raising flop pretty often.

if you dont think there is value in betting the flop you can c/c, if you bet its cuz you are vbetting. so the turn changes nothing and we still want to vbet, stacks are a bit awkward but a bit over half pot and then either valuejam or check to induce on any river that isnt a 3,6,8 seems reasonable. I dont like treating our hand as a semibluff because its very unlikely A7+ will fold at any point.

i most likely check the turn since i dont think he folds better but might bet a float here. check calling is actually a decent option because if you already have him beat, even his draws have less outs because of your flush draw so dont need to worry about protecting your hand as much.

honestly, depending on the vibe i get, i think check/call check, bet turn shove river or check/shove are all viable options.

Eventhought 60% is on the looser side, it's not terribly loose. I usualy start throwing in a little less Kxs type of hands, but still 3bet them every now and then.
