Really bad at poker... All the mistakes ~.~

so I didn't think he could really 3-bet with KQo since he's pretty tight (1) so I opted to call OOP... (2)

Hit a K, thought the c-bet was pretty valuey (3) didn't think I beat his value range so I call, re-evaluate (4).

He x'ed back the turn, and the river I didn't think he'd call a bet with QQ (5) so I gave him a chance to bluff all his AQo etc. (6).

That was my thought process...

Obviously now I realize I should re-raise preflop for value (probably call KQo) if not, I should raise flop if I decide to flat AK.

Bet turn, shove river.

So pissed off he SD'ed KQo... Still lots of work I guess

If u think u dont beat his c bet range on Khxhx fd board in general when having AK then u should fold PF
What the hell are u calling for pf if the above sentence is really what u think ?

I dont understand your thought process at all

So u call pf -> hit your hand -> still assume u are behind even though u fucking hit your hand ????
-> dont call preflop or better assume u are ahead in case u hit A or K

In general

when we call preflop and hit on flop
-> we are very happy people since we dont even rely on the fold equity anymore
-> makes things easy

if we hit on flop and are very unhappy
-> this is when u realize u should have foldet pf

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)Last edit: 22/03/2012 23:06

On a more serious note

Try to estimate handranges that make sense from pf to river
what u seem to do is give villian a completely new and different independent hand range every street ???

like on flop you say he c bets only for value (which i completely disagree with you ... but anyways)
then u talk about how you want to give him a chance to bluff off his Aq and other air hands on river ?
how does that compute ?

Hmmm, well I expect him to value bet all his value-range on the turn as well as some bluffs but when he checks back I don't really expect him to have anything on the river that will call a bet.

The size on the flop seemed like value but could be just his standard c-bet so wasn't sure. Was sure after the turn I had the best hand but didn't expect KQo which I could get value from. Yeah, I should start thinking more

and you must be playing mid or high stakes to be such an asshole with your comments.
You are posting plenty of microstakes hands and I don't see people bashing you.

sorry for shitty english.

Important point is your oop, and you explain you want to let him fire (including hands that you beat) to put the money in. Your reasoning could actually work against some kind of opponents. But you should not do it in micro because vilain will do it randomly which makes it more complicated for you to adapt/play accurately.
At micros, vilains will do a lot of mistakes preflop. You have to exploit it by 4beting those kind of big hands especially oop. So 4bet it.

sorry for shitty english.Last edit: 23/03/2012 05:15

Well u just cant think like that.
Its just plain wrong

when u expect him to bet only his value range on flop then he has no bluffs on turn and river !
As i allready said u cant give him an independent new range every street.
When u think he has bluffs or semi strong hands in his c betting range on flop u are ahead with AK here a ton

just trying to help

Did u understand what i mean ?

U see what i did there with A8 ? He 4 bets and there we go insta jam A8 : ---booooom -- . hahahaha ( Krantz)
