fold: NO!!, he might have A5, A4, AJ, 54, AQ, AK etc

don't limp pre, raise

your flop bet accomplishes nothing, so either x or bet 50%+

Actually, I had meant to bet more on the flop but I misclicked.

Edit: My reasoning for betting is if he had an ace he would've bet, but he checked, so I thought that was a sign of weakness, so I tried to represent the ace and push him off of the hand. Is this a reasonable thought process? I feel a bit unlucky for hitting the 4 on the turn or I would've never called, lol.

if you raised preflop - he would ahve 3-bet you and you would have folded and that woulda been that
limping as the first player in the pot is almost always sub optimal in poker

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

Yea, you're right. I usually always raise preflop (3 or 4 times the BB), but for some reason I didn't do it here, and it cost me! Damn.
