since you're in early position fuck it and go all in

the EV isn't the fold equity and if he calls it's a toss up 99% of the time right? aganist him i mean, but the EV comes from the next big hand where he pays you off

if you always go in with the worst hand youll never have a bad beat story

I pushed and he showed 55, turn river both blanks

I've consulted a friend and realize pushing is wrong.

Only few hands he could have here are :

KQd, AXd, Other diamond draw which is probably higher than 8
AJ,KJ (rare)
Set
JT
Nothing

Vs all of the above other than nothing, I'm only barely a coinflip with AJ or KJ, assuming he has no diamond. If he does, I'm a 38-62 or something. Vs Higher flush draw, I'm a huge underdog (especially vs KQd or JXd). Vs Set, I'm pretty big underdog, 35-65 or something. Vs JT, it's like a 40-60. Vs Nothing, he will fold and I get his 1200.
