on lockdown boards like this (where no1 ever has a draw) you can reraise for value / pot control - so u can manipulat eur sizing $1 on the flop, $1.8 or so on the turn and then decide what to do on the river (since you have position river play will be easy) almost everyone will just check call with the pairs you beat (and never bluff on the flop/turn since u can potentially have 8x+)
This check turn / call river bet is really really bad in the long term EV of your jacks, since you are not getting the value from the hands you should be and you let your opponent dictate the action + your not putting in money while the board is attractive for bluffcatchers |
