do you like 3rd barrel in this spot ?
villain looks like a competent reg, kinda pasive post flop, was 3betting a lot pre and was running me over so far cos I was card dead..
I think he might have decent amount of A rags as he didnt like to fold pre much, 3betting 24% and calling 20% .. not sure if I can make him fold some weak Ace.. |

i would never in a million years expect him to fold any Ax, at best maybe he'd fold something like Tx with a heart but yeah i think you should give up. |

Usually hu, I just assume they will 3 bet more merged and therefore when he flats I don't give him credit for premium hands like AJ+ and KQ. However he can have plenty of Ax and I'm not so certain he will fold these hands by the river. Same with Kx.
Quite honestly I think a delayed cbet on the turn is much better than firing the flop. On these monotone flops there are plenty of hands he is going to snap fold like 78ss, 66 etc that he will also c/f turn. And then there are QhX and JhX hands that will call multiple streets or bet out on the turn.
I don't think checking the flop is all that exploitable as we prob have hands like QQh JJh or hands like KxXh TxXh that we check behind on the flop that we can call turn as well |

ok this represents about 2.5% of hands, what about the other 80% of hands we are opening? |

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same | |

I'd def check back if I didn't improve, but given our raw equity and him folding some Tx - I thought bet might be profitable.. maybe too optimistic tho, not sure If can expect him to fold QJ or JT on the turn.. |
