Since he was check/ call on flop and turn i would have Check the river. 9/10 and the spade made it.

I disagree with checking the river here, also who cares about BDFDs. Fairly sure he calls river with J3+ too

I suppose i just said top check due to my experiences with this common situation. If he calls a large-ish river bet i feel like top pair is never good. Maybe bet half put river if you want to Betty. This I'd my opinion and you should listen to the guys with 2k posts before me obviously.
