getting it in here with top pair doesn't seem too good

you have 50% vs draws and he has shitton of overpairs

no he really doesn't, this is opponent specific, it's a close spot anyway, I went over this hand I think it's fine just really close. Unskillfull is about 40% VP.

looks really bad and not close

why is it really bad? he gets it in preflop w like 99+ for sure we have history. I don't really think he has 74 ever, he has alot of pair + gutshot draws which I beat, I'm flipping vs draws. I think he reraise this flop after I cbet small alot because he has shitty overcards that he doesn't want to play. I can't really flat call so I either fold or reraise, I went for reraise for the reason I stated before. Surely you have played this guy he's really loose.

ive never played with him i would not 3 bet with K8o vs anyone, and i would make it larger.

also if your going to play for stacks just bet like like 12-15 and shove over his reraise..

I make it 8 or 9 when 3betting in position in spot where I will 3bet alot. K8o is a good hand to flat you are right, I do not think it's that bad to 3bet K8o considering how loose this guy open and it gives me initiative when he flats calls. Betting small is part of inducing a raise from his weak range/air range so I kind of 3b him really small because his raise was a bit smaller than I expected. All turns are pretty much bad I'm gonna check down but on flop I'm not terrible equity wise on flop considering he has alot of bluff, it's very similar to having TT ~ JJ you just have better equity with those.

uh flatting is clearly going to be profitable, it's just a matter of whether there's more merit to 3b or not

uhhhhhh i was thinking this was CO VS button the whole time...

casinocasino   Canada. Aug 25 2012 00:47. Posts 3346

sorry excuse what i said above.

just flat pre, you could 3 bet but not vs this type of opponent type.

and just bet bigger on the flop you dont need to balance vs this player type or in nl100 in general

Oddeye   Canada. Aug 25 2012 00:51. Posts 5106

It's all good, that would change the ranges quite a bit. I still 3b K8o occasionally in CO vs Deal but you could do it with alot of hands really it's very situational. I don't think the post flop would play quite the same.

I like calling too preflop, I think it's probably better. I think you are also right for betting bigger, I wouldn't really bet too big either tho because I really want him to raise with his terrible holdings/air, since I was already thinking to get it in.
