he raise small, therefor I'm trying to commit him by reraising small but a sizing that prevents him from calling profitably

I wouldn't do this unless he raised 7

you are loweing your EV just with these tiny ass reraises where they are barley making a mistake (if any) by callling

I think I could have made it like 2$ what is he gonna do with 88 on flop if he doesn't hit, probably call a cbet of like 15-20 then fold, thats quite a bit more money

btw it's not something I do normally, was just in reaction to the miniraise

do you think he would fold if you shipped? I'm serious, I don't understand wtf he is doing with his hand.

new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...

I think he would have folded yes, he probably missclicked or he wanted to raise small as bluff to save money and called my raise that is arguably too small

Seriously,is villian a fish,a reg,or random unknown?
Because if its a fish or random unknown there is a really good chance he would call a reraise to 30-35 as well. And then its like TT said, you are making less in the longterm.
If its a reg,he either misclicked or did by intention. Now if he misclicked he might think that you noticed this and fight as well for the pot.But with your sizing he really can just setmine in position(!) and defend his already invested money with huge pot+implied odds.

i would make it a sizing that we can comfortably just ship on flop with.. i dislike your 5 bet sizing...it's not like we are bluffing here often enough for us to warrant a funky sizing like this right?

yeah I concur with everyone, sizing was too small but I think it was the correct play overall imo... I think making it like 29-30 would be perfect, not bigger tho

i always jam pre.. when he clicks it back pre, i expect to have under 10% fold equity on a shove, when fish do this in my experience they think they have the nuts

its like when you open UTG, and a nit who 3-bets 2% over 800 hands 3-bets you from teh SB, and you ahve AA, I dont 4-bet in these spots, I just jam, and they snap call w/ QQ and call it a cooler
