On the right side of almost all the coolers, ran good in big pots, only 'ran bad' in river calls (they always made their weird turned gutshots when their main draws missed and they barreled). 6 buyins above EV feels nice

I think betting is superior to checking.
He calls with lot of hands that would check behind if you check too.
River CF on primary flush, call or fold on secondary flush (depending on sizing and which card it was exactly), bet huge on other cards (unpaired).

Any hands you'd check here (intending to c/r)?

I like the turn c/r, it enhance our checking range a lot
Also even we pot the turn villain can still call w/ very wide range and we will make more mistakes than villain
It sucks when turn go chk/chk but we can play a smaller pot this way tho
WP imo

Not vs average or unknown player.
Vs very aggro players who will bet very often when checked to yes.

Problem with checking is that almost every river changes texture considerably, so you won't get any extra value from 2prs or PR+FD.

This was my reasoning as well, but we still end up with like 50bb on the river when we c/r if he somehow just flats, which isn't that much better than being in a 50bb pot with 100bb behind, I think?

But yeah, I definitely like the aspect of strengthening my checking range, though this guy isn't someone I play a ton with so might be irrelevant... I do also feel like people bet turn a bit more than they perhaps should in general, which is an argument for c/r.
