At the time I was hoping Ifin would shove over often enough but in reality I don't think he will be since he has 40bb/is nitty/and im 3betting in the sb vs his open and he is aware of that so prob just a flat preflop and an easy flop to lead on

My guess is that they aren't properly rolled/want to decrease the variance/give themselves an edge and therefor choose to only cover the fish.

for the same reason people play short on nlhe, because the more blinds u have, the more complex the game.
