i like it.
I think there is a nice amount of fold equity here vs many hands that are ahead of you on the turn. |

Arent you just repping 44, 22 and 88 (7 combos)? But all of those hands would slowplay that board alot. This looks really drawy imo. |

i really think its not that easy.
villian is in Big Blind vs Button raise+caller and probably squeezing with a lot of hands here.Hero can see a cheap flop slightly deep with a hand that plays well post even oop.Flop is dry and a clear call for hero with the gut shot+ runner draws.
Turn villain will 2nd barrel with a lot of air here imo.I mean its really unlikely that villain actually has an overpair here ...and some lower ppairs will sure fold to the push.
Giving up on that turn would just be weak.
A semibluff,thats real poker imo. |

how do you formulate the opinion that villain will barrel a lot of air on this "awesome" barrel card? -.- |

Mardagg is spot on, although I think calling and popping him on the river is slightly better. |

Barring stats or history, i simply see him being in a huge squeeze spot.
Thats a pretty big hand range. After betting flop with that turn i just dont see him giving up with his Ax,Kx hands and generally see him bet folding many other hands as well.
@ hot chip
Hero can perfectly rep 8x as well, .And since there are not many draws out there,i think heroes play looks ok strong.
Of course some history or stats would help on to decide how to play turn.

i don't get it, are you always floating K high oop here on flop or what? what does he expect us to fold on the turn? |

fair enough, but that's kind of like someone posting a hand getting aipf for 200bb's w/99 and everyone telling him it's bad, then coming later and saying "oh btw villain 3bets 60% and shoves over 4bets 40%"

Looking again, its probably a bad play, but only because bet sizes tells he is setting up for pot shove river and ppl most likely do this for value. |
this is such a weird comment, isn't it common knowledge that regs generally use the same size for bluffs/value hands on dry boards? i mean obviously he's sizing it in a way that sets him up for a river shove, because doing anything else would be freaking retarded. |

Lol,most regs are squeezing a lot in this spot,so thats massively different to your example with 3bet60%.
Get serious.
bigred,i think you are doing a totally wrong approach to this hand.
Once Hero decides to call oop vs the squeeze, he has the plan to play back at villain postflop.
only question is ,where (flop/turn/river) and how much to risk.
If you call pre and then give up on flop or hit a decent flop and then give up on turn, just FOLD pre.or 4bet pre.

100bbs went in with 9% equity. Also, nobody shoves 8x on the turn and nobody folds an overpair to the shove |
