I'm raising because he's basically 3-bet then c-betting every 3rd hand or so - has nothing to do with the relative strength of his hand. When I don't get the fold I figure I'm 40% or better against what he's shoving with so in it goes.

Are you saying that his 33% cbet frequency does not imply stronger than range than of somebody who cbets 75%?

This is possible if villain just cbet kinda randomly.

Jam is superior because
1) Equity (pair+guthot+backdoors)
2) FE is decent on such disconnected low board
3) many turn cards are bad because they either
a) shut him down when you hit 2 pairs or straight (because board brings straight)
b) or they are high cards like T+ that improve his range a lot (and thus cut your hand equity to the point where you cannot call turn PSB.
