he vbets and bluffs so well on river i just feel i got super lucky on this hand & river lol.

If i do check raise turn his range suddenly becomes super made hand heavy, even though i do fold out worse (highcards) I can prob still make him fold or call depending on the river...

hey wobbly, longple. i have a question: is c/r way better than c/c? they seem sort of similar (to me) in that if villain isnt fold happy he probably won't dump the value part of his range to the raise on the turn anyway, so i do not think c/r accomplishes much more than a c/c, except that a c/c keeps the pot a bit smaller on rivers for you.

i am not nearly the level of poker you guys are and was just wondering what would make the c/r that much better.

i see you say he plays river well, so do you think a c/r makes your fiver decision easier?

c/r turn narrows his value range and almost entirely cuts out his drawing range. So on rivers that i hit i can value bet and on scary rivers I can also make his top and 2nd pairs fold some. But the negative part of it is that most of the time i will be making the pot bigger with a marginal drawing hand, and thus requires me to make some successful bluffs on the river to make up for it.

im playing so that might sound like jumble, but all in all.. IM OOP and a weakish hand and life isnt roses and daisies

i think i understand.

in spots like that, i am always torn between a raise and a call, but i almost alwyas wind up calling and then c/f river :/ so i recognize this as a spot that is probably a significant leak for me

oh - is it wrong to fold the turn? might be results oriented, but i think maybe at the low stakes i could just fold the turn at times, because people do not seem to fold enough

never fold the turn

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light not our darkness that most frightens us and as we let our own lights shine we unconsciously give other people permision to do the same

well they were actually playing each other on some table during that, so not a huge surprise imo
