Something seems odd. If we check the turn is the river line taken appropriate?

Right. It just seemed odd to me. I dunno. I don't even know if checking the turn after villain is appropriate. This all might be standard but i just question whether the turn and river were played correctly.

can you explain why you think checking the turn would make the river line incorrect?

ynot, I think you are misreading the hand. We are obv. going to raise the river for value.

I checked back turn cause I don't think we get value from anything once the Ace hit. I was likely going to bluffcatch river if it bricked.

i dont understand why you think A is bad card. the guy completed in the sb. its his minraise flop that is sort of weird. turn check ip seems reasonable to me - nothing you beat is going to call a bet, and villain minraised a pretty safe flop for us - bluff catching or even folding some rivers if the villain bets out would seem appropriate.

once that 8 hits, its time to get it in.

also, why would checking turn make river incorrect? seems like the best river possible came and the villain took the most desirable line for our guy

if you think we are playing for chop or even behind, only 1 combo of 66 and 3 combos of A8, so we lose to only 4 hands.
