I've seen a few guys be massively -allinEV lifetime (wobbly -500k, im the same, prob more cuz of live, etc) I suck at math but if you think you are unlucky at all in pots it's better not to use it I guess. |

did you mean to say "If you are lucky in allin pots its better not to use it I guess" right? Don't see why would you not use it when you are unlucky in allin pots. |

its always better to use it
think about how many times you lost with more than 70% odds, you would still have at least 30% of this money |

Hehe even if i dont care what he thinks of me not liking me "a ton" seems kinda harsh as i dont think we have even crossed words ever. I can only guess what i posted at wobbkys hand? Wasnt even directed specifically at him as i dont think he ever did a "for bankrolls" match. |

its more than just they might tilt ... if u always run it twice, they will semi bluff u more frequently knowing they r gonna win half the pot a lot of the times allowing them to play more aggressively and pretty much at half the stakes. i want to take advantage of someone who can't afford to lose, not running it twice vs everybody but regs i play w/ everyday at the same stakes is how i'd do that. |

Mayb im really braindead but if my ev line is a steady downward lifetime and all run it twice do is double the hands on that line how can that be good for me? I know its stupid to think in luck but i really dont see any upside. |

This is a pretty fair point. Today i c/raised in a 3bet pot w a draw instead of my usual c/c on a particular board bcuz fk it im at least 35-40% and most likely will win once. |

The only thing run it twice does it's reducing variance. In a vacuum it's only a good thing. But real bad players play keep playing BECAUSE there's variance in the game.
It's just my thought on the matter. |

you c/c usually cause you think its the highest EV line. but today you made what you dont think is the highest EV line because you were running it twice. aka someone played worse cause of it. of course if you think you are playing worse cause of it its probably not for you, but if others are then thats countering what you guys are arguing.
and regs are just as likely or more likely to tilt if they lose both when running it twice as losing when running it once.
if you think for some reason nits are now going to be playing much better or people are going to be playing much more scared if you run it once by all means go ahead and run it once. but i dont think thats really going to be the case at all and think lower variance is just way better when we see as many 100 buyin+ under EV graphs as we do |

aren't you sacrificing some of your equity by running it twice? IE if you get top pair vs an 8 out draw, after the first run out, doesn't the draw have a higher percentage chance of winning? if you weight those two percentages doesn't the draw aren't you sacrificing your equity? wouldn't that increase equity if in all pots instead of having your actual equity, you had your equity minus 1-3 percent? |

The point I was trying to make is that I tried out a play because of less variance/less possibility of me getting stacked in the first hands of the session, and it turned out to be a good play I would otherwise probably not make. Regardless of wether how I play overall is good or bad, I don't see why this wouldn't encourage other players to do the same w the run it twice and play better/more aggresive. |
