actually thought process was this flop is so dry i can get away with checking it back and getting a bet in before i raise him out. Etcetc with turn.

river bet with Q high here is pretty standard, wobbly has bottom of his range here he should be betting, just like he would value bet JJ-kx on river as it's pretty clear villian has lower pp's |
