Hehehe, it was a longgggggg time ago that I had the kind of success that would have made continuing worthwhile

I miss it sometimes of course, and I feel like I'd actually be better equipped to get better now after spending the past 4-6 months pokering (made me appreciate the way Taeja and MVP 'balance' their openings a lot).

Hm.. Off-suite socks..

hrm dont think his play is that bad, probably not optimal: ~40% vs ur get in range doesnt need u to fold much.

No shit, poker made me better at SC too. Got so much better at "reading" ppl, making the +EV play etc, now I understand much better mondragon and Testie's ways of boring but effective playstyle, I realized my playing style was too variance heavy, like sometimes I knew what the correct strat was but I would opt for another one just to make it interesting.

I'm pretty sure his play is completely horrible at every stage of the hand :O

I'm not cbetting into a fish without something 3 way on this board, his fold equity is very slim.

if we assume most people's check shoving range against you will be mostly 9+spades or overpair+spades type hands(its kinda hard to have flopped two pair or a set on this board) then you'd be correct to stack off all AA/KKxx.
his hand has 48% vs AA/KK so unless you are only bet-calling with hands that contain spades and better, his play is fine.

Mondragon had a weird ZvT

Like, he would stay with 3 hatches for a much longer time than most other zergs, so the timings was so akward vs him. (But he would have a hell lot of lings, muta/lurker, scourge and take down any kind of push and THEN ekspand - rather than ekspanding before taking the push like most euro/american zergs used to do...)

I guess he was great at adjusting to other players, but at least vs me he did that... I remember i liked to go out pretty early to chase down those ekspands that most zergs did - but for his part there was none to chase and it confused me xD

I always had trouble with those kinds of players in SC2 too =.= IdrA for example (even though my record vs him in important matches is good, in random ladder games its really shitty).

Hm.. Off-suite socks..
