Check Raise To make a check with the intention of raising if one of the opponents acting behind you makes a bet. A check-raise is usually used when you have a strong hand and you think your opponent isn′t going to call your bet, so instead you check raise and extract some more money from him. Check-raising can also be used as a bluffing or semi-bluffing technique.
