30"

if poker is dangerous to them i would rank sports betting as a Kodiak grizzly bear who smells blood after you just threw a javelin into his cub - RaiNKhAN

Dual monitors is way overrated for poker. One 30" is the best solution as most everyone is saying.

NeillyJQ: I really wanted to prove to myself I could beat NL200, I did over a small sample, and believe Ill be crushing there in the future.

27'' monitors and below do not have a higher resolution than 1920 x 1080. (unless they're ultrasharp)

30'' "Ultrasharp" is what you want. Those have huuuuuuuuge resolutions.

30'' its not even close. You can get a smaller one on the side if you want. But if price is not an issue just get the 30''.

i believe if you got a 30" and kept it for at least a week you would never ever look back.

For 12 tabling i like 2x 24" monitors and 6 table on each screen. No overlap

I should have specfified before, i almost never play over 8 tables, i do play games and money is an issue, now that i cant afford it but i dont want to spew unnecesarely.

I didnt know i needed a sick card for a 30" i thought a regular video card could handle it, i was planning on getting a Geforce GTX440 1GB, that cant handle a 30" or 27"?

I use GF460GTX for my dell, but when I bought it i had 260gt and it worked like a charm with 30+20.
The only thing your card needs to have is dual-link technology

nono, there are two types of DVI ports single-link and dual-link
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface
as you can see for WQXGA you need to have dual-link DVI.
If you are really planing to get GTX440, you can be 100% sure it will work.

In terms of how much desktop space you get for the dollars, 2x27" is much much cheaper?

main thing is to get high resolution, like twisteds 2560x1440 would be great. My 27" only goes does 1920x1080

im starting to think that an initial 27" (and if i find it lacking maybe adding another one later), but most i find are 1920x1080 which are garbage since you cant fit more than 2 tables horizontally without overlapping.

Baal go 30 its the best. I have the Dell one. I've had a couple 27s as well but nothing is like 2560x1600 on the 30!

I also switched from 2 x 27" to 1 x 30". I just bought a 20" dell monitor (not widescreen) with 1600x1200 resolution to use as a secondary monitor with the 30".
