*** SOLD OUT *** --- will ask for it to be sent until may 1st, so I can give room for the waiting list in case someone gives up

*total shares was 120 of $250 each making 30k total, since tutz pointed out that I did the schedule basing on Pokerstars' first release, so I had a few of the tourneys wrong on my initial schedule

i'll take 20 shares but got a quick Q about the buyins. The total amount used for buyins is approximate for now right? because of rebuys and it being uncertain exactly how many other side tournaments you'll play. So am I right in assuming the $250 price of 1 share for now is approximate and will be adjusted after the scoop series is over?

I will play side tourneys until i reach 25k, the SCOOP tourneys are estimated at 15k and could go up or down as you say but I will adjust the side tourneys to make it 25k total

I'd like 10% (or 10 shares).

What does make-up 65/35 mean exactly?

I'd like 0.5% if that's okay

  How it Works

A typical tournament backing deal might be outlined as "50/50 with makeup."

What this means is that the backer, who puts up the money for a player's buyins, agrees to split 50% of the backee's tournament profits but only after previous buyins have been recouped. The amount that needs to be recouped is makeup.
E.g.

Using the "50/50 with makeup" example as a model: A backer puts his player into 12 $10,000 tournaments and the player doesn't cash any of them. Thus, the partnership has a $120K "makeup figure."

If, on the 11th tournament, the player cashes for $240K, the $120K would be subtracted off the top and the remaining $120K would be split $60K apiece between the backer and his "stakehorse."

Oh yeah I understand that, just figured you were selling action at first and used some weird make-up system with that .

edit: money sent

Are you selling all $25,000? Or are you taking shares for yourself?

player999   Brasil. Apr 17 2012 18:55. Posts 7978

I would take the remaining action that didn't sell, but it seems that ppl actually think I'm good so it'll sell out

I've never staked anyone before, but jumped at the chance, because it's likely a sick ROI proposition as you are one of the best around.

Just so I understand correctly the staking is with makeup and 65 investors/ 35 you for profit right?

So if you play everything and and profit $38,461.54 (25k/65%) - Finish at $63,461.54 I will break even right?

Edit: I'm retarded - it's should have been obvious to me that makeup means the split starts after the first 100% (25k)

You would have to pretty much be able to see other people's hole cards for my above proposition to make sense to backers

loool obviously not man

you get 100% up to the first 25k, only then its a split, I dont know the exact math, but I'm pretty sure I need less than a 35% ROI for this to be +EV for you

from the top of my head I would think that a 20% ROI player would be a good investment in this format, and 20% ROI is really not much

lololol I wrote that thinking it was reasonable, and was waiting for you to reply, see you laughing, and I'm like wtf?

Looked up at what I wrote and realized that it is insane. Please do not judge me. I got it now.

Yes, yes - you don't need to convince me it's +ROI for me, money is already sent.: )

Good luck
