| Dear Supernova+ VIP,
We are pleased to inform you that PokerStars has reached an agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice to obtain the assets of Full Tilt Poker. As a Supernova+ VIP, we want to make sure that you are amongst the first to learn the details that are now available to the public.
By the end of the year, PokerStars will fully make available for cashout Full Tilt account balances for accounts that are not registered to US or US territory addresses as of June 29th, 2011. There will be no play through requirements before cashing out. We will have a fair resolution for players with accumulated points and other rewards from Full Tilt loyalty programs.
Full Tilt customers whose accounts were registered to US or US territory addresses as of June 29th, 2011 will need to look to the US Department of Justice for information on what will happen with their account balances.
We will be relaunching the Full Tilt Poker site later this year. This will not affect your play on PokerStars; Full Tilt will operate with a separate player pool as it did before.
You can find more information on our corporate blog:
http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/corpora...es-with-united-states-doj-096492.html
Thank you for your continued loyalty as a PokerStars Supernova VIP.
Best wishes,
Steve Day

^ So what that's basically saying is that every FTP player who is not in the USA or USA territories will get their money back for sure. Everyone else is fucked and has to deal with the DOJ.
Even though USA + USA territories cant get their money out for awhile, I wonder if we'll be able to play once the site is open, or if our funds are stuck + cant play there either. |

Yeah. This is what's going to happen. Just wait for the day money starts getting released and bring your popcorn. Then there will be those people who bought bankrolls from American players who can easily lie that the DOJ didn't give them anything etc. |

i saw it mentioned a few times in a bunch of ftp containment threads on 2p2. tbh i dont have a dog in that fight so i didn't care to follow it too much. but from what i was reading the site is going through a liquidation process and few people were saying players could get 20c/$1 back. at this point though, i think most people with ap/ub money have written it off long ago, so even if this is a long shot it's still a free out |

Any US players submit claims to the DOJ? How is this process going to work for US players to get their money back? |

once the announcement is made, US players will be able to file claims. i'm not sure whether that will coincide with the time when RoW players will be able to withdraw. the DoJ will investigate all claims for evidence of criminal activity, and refund monies following a clean investigation into each claim. they may or may not be working with the IRS to also assess any back-taxes owed by individuals filing claims before disbursing funds. in all likelihood, it will still be several months after submitting your claim until you see your money, if the DoJ gives any of it to you at all. my attorney has expressed to me that he's confident the DoJ will do their absolute best to keep as much of the money as possible and be extremely nitpicky and thorough before giving anybody anything. |

any update on this? in all the news posts it generally is like "by the end of the month"... "in a few weeks" but then the news dies out. wouldn't want to miss how/when to claim as a US player with the DOJ |
