So far, Heraclitus is the most interesting. Most of his work is just one liners, riddles.

"You can never step into the same river twice"

"Man is most nearly himself when he achieves the seriousness of a child at play"

"Hide our ignorance as we will, an evening of wine soon reveals it."

Really felt like going in the forest, it's 01:00 at night, so I called a mate, it took around 20 minutes of convincing, but he agreed to wake up, get dressed and drive over.

Yay

It'll be pretty amazing, since the clouds are really dark, so we probably won't be able to see shit.

I wish I lived in Norway in the forest. We should switch places, Montreal is great for hyperactives.

skimmed. the part about you watching some random pua's youtube videos stuck out + approach anxiety.

thought i might be able to offer a suggestion:
then i realized i'd probably type too much and I have to get to sleep soon.

short version:
(realize it's normal human thing and not really related to girls/sexuality in any way)
-realize you have to do it a lot, for no reason if necessary, to prove to your hindbrain that it's not worth getting excited over.
sort of a thermonuclear option would be to go on a pickup forum, find a guy/group of guys who go out regularly, ghost them for one weekend (thurs, fri, sat night works) going out, knock out low triple digit #s of approaches and see how you feel afterwards.

all up to you, whether or not you view the nervousness/anxiety as a problem or want to do anything about it. just showing it's really easy to work on if you so desire.

LoL, thanks for advice, appreciated.

It's 1 and a half nightclub in my city, and 3-4 bars lol.

After going there 5-6 times you'll start to recognize everyone, and a lot of people "kinda know" who everyone else is, and if you don't know, you just ask 2-3 of the people you know, and one of them is bound to know a lot about the person.

The shyness I think is primarily from being by myself most of the time.

Enjoyed reading the first part of your blog because i related to all the stretching and mobility because i'm interested in that aswell right now.
I have recommend getting Book , i've read the hardcopy from cover to cover and it is by far the best book about stretching i've come across. When i went to the chiropractor he recommended getting BOOK #2 which i did. Stumbled across the golf fitness academy and they have a bunch of things on golf specific mobility and quite a few exercises GFA - might be useful to someone playing golf and reading this. I'd be interested in more mobility/stability/stretching links you come across.

You mentioned being really lightweight, have you tried putting on more weight in the gym? You seem to eat proper and have an active lifestyle (walks, light jogging, concious about your health) but i couldn't really say you were building much muscle.

The second part is just creepy/weird. Being proud of being really anxious, all over the place, wild, mental doesn't really add but rather subtracts imo. Hope you get what i'm trying to say here. You come off as an evil brother of Kramer from the Seinfeld.

I like having biosphere on while stertching.

Cool, might read that when I'm done with the one I'm on atm xD

I lift weights 2 - 3 times a week as well, pretty worried about injuring myself, since a little over 2 years ago I got a nasty injury around the weights I'm lifting now.

I only get stronger, not bigger, I'm not 100% why, I do 6-10 reps, in between there. And I mostly lift for upper body, chest, tricep, a little back.

Someone else pm'd me and said I came off as cheerful, vibrant and full of life. It's interesting that it varies so much what people really read when they read it. Also comparing it to what I mean what I write it. I'm just not skillful enough, I should be able to portray what I feel so everyone feels the joy, wit, warm and positive shit I'm trying to express.

xD (I really like this smiley, I probably invented it).

Is that my recommendation or did you know of the project?

I knew them before, they played at an annual music festival that is held in a picturesque landscape with a nice lake in Estonia. I wasn't there but my friend was and he recommended it to me. After having listened to "birds flying by flapping their wings" and "dissolving clouds" i knew i was hooked. Put on the cd and enjoyed the album from start to finish during nighttime with no distractions. Just listening and doing some stretches (had watched some Yin yoga where you hold a stretch for an extended period of time so gave it a go and it fit well because you don't have to be as mindful with your poses).

We need a thread with sensible people posting sensible music they enjoy with links to reviews and perhaps one or two songs. There have been attempts at music threads but they fade away quickly because of lacking content. Maybe i should start a blog. Loco, how much interest do you have for eastern philosophies e.g. buddhism?

Not many people on here fit those criteria, better to use sites made for that. I'm a music fan but I have a pretty strong aversion to discussing music on the internet.

I've had very strong interest in Eastern philosophy for maybe 5 years now (as my signature about the Buddha on here would indicate). I had an interest in it before I knew anything at all about Western philosophy. I've been mostly a student of Advaita Vedanta, which I prefer to Buddhism. This makes me a bit at odds with other philosophical pessimists who gravitate towards Buddhism more.

I liked 3 of the songs in that recommendation thread, one of them was the biosphere thingy. So the last week or so when I'm studying I've made a playlist full of that shit, I like it since it's one of the few who doesn't drag my concentration away from whatever I'm doing, pretty nifty. Whilst most of the other stuff is just "too much" stuff going on.

Yeap. It goes a little something like this.

Ride my bike to the gym, 8 minutes!

I take 2 set of crunches, and 2 of those for your back as warmup. (This is something I didn't use to do, I'd jog for 5 minutes, then have at the weights. But this old guy had retired, think his name was Dietermar Wolfman, or something like that. And he's been training up young kids "well 19 +", and on all their programs he has that as warmup instead of jogging. And the guy's legit, so I decided to try that as warmup instead).

I start with Flat Bench Dumbbell press, for chest, triceps and a little bit of shoulders.

I do one light, 10kg, 10 times or so
- Next is 7x20kg

Then I go for what I think I can take
- 5x32
- 8x30
x 8x 27,5

then i make it steeper, so it's got an angle, and I do 3-4 more sets

In between, first thing I do when I get up is I try and flex, and squeeze the chest muscle, not sure why, it feels cool, then i relax, and I do it once more, squeeeze, then I relax

After that I do 1 set sometimes 2 of Push ups, just to make sure I got everything out!! Normally around 30 - 40 or something

Then I do 2 exercises for Triceps, depends which one I feel like doing.

And that's bout it.

I also have a routine for Legs/back

I do Squats as warmup, no weights, sometimes a little jump at the end, then that machine u do instead of squats with weight on you. I go more up in reps here, like 12 or something, and I do more sets, like 6.

Then Lunges, and a machine for the upper side of the thighs.

For back I do Deadlifts and pulldowns.

The upper body workout is around 45 - 50 minutes, the legs/back is around 1 hour 10 minutes
