If you havent read the book you should. My favorite author by far, his books are all amazing.

lol, started out so benjamin buttony then smashed right into pirates of the carribean. for all the crap the matrix series got, we still talk about it. i hope this is another movie that people will discuss for years.

i hope this isn't another one of those john carter type movies. coz it looks like it from the trailer. confusing as fuck with no fantastic action sequences or tits to distract me. looks beautiful though.

This movie is all over the place with different scenes I can remember from other movies.

I'm sure it will at least be decent since Tom Hanks is in it, but I'm not going to see this in the theater.

Also, movie will be huge prior to being viewed, given all the big names in the movie and people behind it. When was a tom hanks movie NOT huge ?

Yeah Tom Hanks is so good when he plays the everyday man we can relate to. Cast Away, The Terminal, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13. He's terrible in fantasy based movies.

Yeah im not sure what looks sic. The fact that it was a matrix-esque movie that snagged lots of scenes from others movies or that it seemed like it had so many plot lines you couldn't follow them all.

why do they have to give away so much of the plot in these trailers? It takes me off wanting to see it when they show you almost everything, and yes I understand there is more to it but still I feel they gave away far too much

i got the same feeling haha. its been a long time since ive been excited for a movie to come out!

another bs movie where director sux and cant keep the tension through the movie so it has 9090 plot/time lines and 343989 or 4 characters and random scenes put together. these are really popular these days ie tarantino + nolan

I'm not watching the trailer, nor will I most likely watch the movie (I dont generally watch movies based on books I like), but if the story is at all similiar to the book I *seriously* doubt you could give it away in a 3 min trailer even if you tried.

EDIT: the book is, btw, nothing *at all* like the Matrix btw. Not an action book at all lol

I guess I'm in the minority but I didn't think that looked very good at all.
