Federal cops are not all around tho right? Meaning state police cant arrest u but feds can ? Americans have one fucked up system + they can enforce a blood test as someone is stopped w his car? The person should consent to it rly? |
Stoners themselves need not worry about the Feds. Smoking a joint, having an ounce in your pocket, have no fear. You won't be prosecuted. But driving while under the influence is another matter, as I stated above. Low threshold, almost guarantee you will fail a test if the cop is reasonably sure you've been smoking, which all he will need to do is get a whiff of it.
You see before, it was almost impossible to prosecute someone for driving under the influence of weed. Now, a standard has been established, and it's an easy standard to meet. This will put a lot of new cases into the industry that is DUI.
The Feds will come in when sellers become licensed, but that is a bit off in the future. As I said, the feds will get a list of who is licensed, bust them, and in doing so they will have a ready-made court case to have the state law struck down. |

I'm interested to see what the impact weed will have on the number of car accidents that occur in the states that legalized marijuana. |

Maybe you were fucked from the beginning and weed only disclosed your mental illnesses, if you say no to weed, then you sure should say no to liquors or anything that modifies the chemistry of your body... Too easy to blame it on weed imo. |

Odds are exactly 50%: it either happens or not | |

Wondering about the effects of this law, federal law seems to go above state law. I can't imagine feds caring much about possession of small quantities, but which will regular cops respect? Will they still bust you for weed possession?

In a nutshell the supreme court decided that regulating narcotics should be a federal issue. If Congress wanted to they could put an end to the state's legalizing medical marijuana. It won't happen, though.
Basically the medical dispensaries just need to stay within federal law (i.e. make sure that their product doesn't cross state lines) and they'll be fine. It doesn't affect individual citizens.

meaning if a Representative introduces a bill in congress and gets a majority to ban Marijuana on the vote, then you're fucked. . |
Exactly what I said..."If Congres..."
Bottom line is that it won't happen, it's too big of a risk politically for either party. |
Really ? i wouldn't bet a dime on this, you underestimate the conservative forces of your country... A nation in crisis tends to contracts itself around "old traditional" values", (whatever that means). |
