haha, this explains a lot! A friend of mine got the loudest girlfriend ever ( his whole family made jokes about it as you could hear her in the whole house), and last week i just found out she cheated on him a few times. Guess I'm happy now mine is pretty quiet.

Isn't there some weird kind of cultural bias in sex noises too. I wonder if it's a learned behavior. Granted I can only really go by porn for the most part which isn't real life but going by porn, chicks in NA/Brasil/Asia all seem to make dramatically different vocalizations during sex.

I always wondered if it was learned behavior or what.

I will say I would find it very hard to be with someone who makes absolutely no noise, so there's definitely something I think most men like about noisy girls.

Found one interesting article that some scientist did in Africa. I guess most primates make noises during sex too and he was studying some baboons or something.

His theory was combined with a survey where the vast majority of females self-reported that they make noises in order to speed up the climax of their partner.

He figured it might be a evolutionary type of thing where during sex baboons actually want the act to be done ASAP because while copulating they are vulnerable to predators/danger and so for them having sex be a quick act is better.

That was the only cool theory I found.

but the noises would alert predators that they are there in the first place..? Doesn't make sense to me

in a natural view its the female that is making the investment when it comes to reproduction. pregnancy is very debilitating, lasts a long time, and is life threatening.

It might be that women that make loud noises are more desirable to men, so evolution selects for those traits.
