Keep in mind the public accolades given to Rekrul were by the CEO of a poker site who sponsored him as their first pro. So of course he's going to dress it up, it was just a form of advertising. As I recall rekrul wasnt so much trying to cheat you, since since he was the one smurfing. He clearly thought he was better than you and was trying to outplay you as someone else. Not cool, but not as bad as having Andrew play under rekrul's account. I'm surprised you just now found out about David-Hero's blog.

Anyway I think a lot of this lashing out comes from the fact that marshall had to earn his way to the top. He didnt jump into NL50 during the golden-era and heater his way up to 25/50 in a couple of years. He fought long and hard and sacrificed a lot to get where he is. That makes him more passionate about it, and unfortunately makes him want to show off his accomplishments.

The fact that everybody knows Rekrul fell, or doesnt even know what he's up to for that matter should tell you enough about him as a poker player. You're still here, he's not. Nuff said?

Nah, marshal type of nerd who never got any attention unless he made lots of noise and "accomplished" stuff. People like him, and donald trump, as one example of that type of personality, will never be happy because they think "accomplishing things" will make their pain and suffering disappear. Which obviously doesn't work, given that he's here on Christmas day trying to grudgematch a player who hasn't shown himself in over a year/trying to "uncover" shit no one cares about, and trying to fight frinkx outside a poker room; this after he "accomplished" winning big amounts of money. The more he'll "accomplish" the more he will feel the pain, given that he expects money and accomplishments to soother his sufferings. That until he realizes accomplishments don't mean shit, and confidences comes with being happy with oneself and controlling the pain and sufferings that makes us weak.

what does it matter that everyone keeps bringing up "u would do this on christmas day of all days" ... like this is some kind of sacred day? wtf ... i dont tend to celebrate holidays. everyday of my life is like a holiday, this is just another day to me. it's important to my parents so i come here and i visit them for a few days of the year. while im here it's pretty boring since there's nothing to do but hang around the house with them so im more likely to be wasting time posting on the internet. when im at home in san diego i have a lot more fun stuff to do so im less likely to be engaged in something like this.

I dont hate you. I dont even know you brody. What I was saying was that Marshall is louding out a player whose absence speaks for itself. However I understand why someone like him might do that. You've been a winning player since forever wobbly, so you are naturally humble about it, because it's nothing to you. It's normal to you. If you look at the life swings marshall had then you can understand why he's going to be much more emotional about his success. I am not a winning player, and if I ever become one I'm sure I'll feel the same way he does, save for the fact I'm such a nice person that I dont really get into shit with people. I know where he's coming from because I feel it too.

i agree xmas shouldn't have any relevancy here. If people sit at home and watch all the NBA games today then they also have the free time to load up LP/TL/whatever and just post/troll to pass time

All else being equal, randomly lashing out at someone on Christmas versus say... April 7th for example obviously makes it at least somewhat worse.

i don't really care much about "known" players, and don't give a shit if they cheat or not, since, like i said, accomplishments don't mean shit in the bigger picture. That's why you'll always be "poor", suffering through life thinking that "beating" people, whether physically or playing poker or whatever, will relive that pain. DAT PAIN.
