i think it's fair to say that part of the reason they are fairly well off is cultural attitude and progressive nature.
it's not as if an entire culture randomly luckboxes into wealth and i don't think sweden is any more or less abundant in resources than any other country on average. |

We've not been to war for >200 years, we completely dodged WW2 by letting the Germans use our railroads to ferry troops into Norway, so... in a way it seems to me like we did indeed luckbox our way into all of this, at least partially. I think especially not being involved in any wars for such a long time has allowed for a more idealistic outlook...
