Well .. I'm calling it one day because I haven't gotten to sleep yet but the last 36 or so hours I definitely haven't had a run like I just had. +56k. I knew I was having a good day but it didn't seem like anything out of the ordinary until I started 3 tabling some reg HU @ 15/30NL. Ended up getting 22k from him. In the meantime I was 4 tabling 6max on another site and managed to win another 15 or so over just those few hours.

It's weird too because I actually have been complaining lately about how bad I felt I've been running. I was only up about 5k for the month up until yesterday, but also I had really only played about 20-25 hours on the month up until that point. Lucky for me I did win all 3 three coin flips @ the 15/30 tables. If I had lost all those I guess I would've broken even.

Everytime I think that elusive 100k month is within reach I immediately enter a downswing. This is the 4th time now I think I might be able to make it by the end of the month. ~39k more to go, that is, if I can find the motivation to keep playing.

I feel like I should celebrate in some way, not sure how, though suggestions are welcome.

Cue the downswing, obviously.

looks like you are overthinking this, try to set volume goals instead of monetary ones and try to find the reasons why you arent motivated to play more.

poker isn't a job to me. it's more like a hobby.

if i don't feel like playing, i don't play.

i'll never set any kind of volume goal. the day i do is the day i become miserable.

also, knowing i just made enough money to almost live for three quarters of the year, it takes a lot of pressure off of me allowing me the freedom to not have to grind too hard.

do something that makes you a better person, don't buy stupid stuff, maybe try a trip somewhere, try to be wiser and have shit balanced.
I should probably get coaching so that I somehow get good at poker and play less of it and do all of the above instead.

new shit has come to light... a-and... shit! man...

I thought it was a cute thinly veiled brag xD

If I were you, I might spend time/money and research on food and supplement. How to make your brain work more fluently. That shit is exciting as hell. You obviously have the money and time to do so. But that stuff might not be your cup of tea.

Another thing "I envy" people with a lot of money with, they can go to seminars, speeches of really bright people, and listen to what they have to say. That sounds pretty awesome too.

Could also maybe, spend some time finding out what skills you aquire quite easily, then seek out activities that having those skills in as very good. Test them out, see if you find something you might get passionate about that you didn't know about.

meh, i've seen a graph of forhayley have a 150k losing stretch over 320k hands~, he is one of the most crushing 25/50 regs on stars. only being up 5k for a month is not a downswing. I don't know how soft the games are on the site you play, but if you play only like 20-30k hands a month you should expect to have 6month losing stretches at least, even if you have a pretty decent edge at the games.

One of 3 non decent human beings on a site of 5 people with between 2-3 decent human beings

Time for some Pol Roger! Buy a bunch so you have some ready for a 100k$ month, some ready to heal the pagne, or just some on hand if you happen to be thirsty at the time.
