yes, the game is beatable it is not just luck. - A difference between PLO and NLH is often the edges are much more 'obvious' in NLH.

poker is soooo much easier when you flop setsLast edit: 15/08/2013 19:55

nah, i heard that the variance in plo is the highest among the poker games, something like having less than 15% equity or some shit. im trying to play those free rolls on carbon but maybe it's the free roll that's causing the bingo effect, but god damn, everyone's sucking out, including me! I tried even making a range, but I never get the cards ever, so I just start limping in every pot i can with at least a suited connector.

Any game is pure gambling if you play agains ppl of your level. Read some books and practice a lot. As a rule of dumb you can play raise wars with nuts or 12+ outs nut draws. GL

Hijack: PLO is supposed to be more skillful than NLHE, but if edges are smaller in PLO, does this mean a fish actually stands a better chance vs a reg than in NLHE?

In the short term obviously yes, I mean its pretty obvious they'll win more hands in the short run just because you always have like 30% equity even if you decide to ship the PLO equivalent of 27o pre.

don't listen to these dumb dumbs
players saying poker is beatable are being payed by the websites to try and entice new players to deposit money
it's all a big scam

if you want to make money, start a circus and charge premium rates for tickets, then expand so you have multiple circuses all over the world simultaneously. Once you make enough money you can go to space

Haha funny thing is that this is somehow a bit true for most players.
Poker has changed so much over the years.

While it was easy to get a few poker skills that made a difference and the money did come fast ... nowadays it is insanely hard to get edges that beat both your opponents and the rake.

Not saying it isnt doable.
OFC it is.
Just saying the $$$/h ratio will be worse than burger king job for most people

dunno if TT is double leveling but small stakes plo has been proven to be extremely hard to beat because of rake. There was a post on 2plus2 that figured this out with some analysis

Pretty sure it's a myth just because of all the retards if you play accordingly vs the players it's not 'insanely hard' and you get rakeback.
