We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men.

Anyway, Miesha Tate winning was nice. I lost my other bets, though.

I won $15 on DraftKings, nothing on Kountermove. Too bad Brandao/Hettes didn't happen.

The next UFC event is in 2 weeks. Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson is injured, so he won't be in the main event versus Brandon Thatch. No replacement has been named yet.

----------

Dana White is making John Lineker go up to bantamweight, and he acknowledged this during the post-fight press conference and was okay with it. Dana also said Kelvin Gastelum is a middleweight now, since he missed weight again; Kelvin wasn't at the post-fight press conference.

Well, I don't think Silva looked bad tbh. He still enjoyed good speed advantage over Diaz and won the fight with better movement.
The fight was entertaining in the first rounds. Diaz antics had me loling. After the second one it was more like a sparring match. Again LOL at Diaz low kicks ( I think that there is something coming from the Condit fight, where He was complaining that he lost because Condit landed the "baby kicks" and LOL that he thought that he won the fight again.

If you watch Anderson fights, He just never leads in the exchanges. He throws different kicks and taunts his opponents so they get frustrated and attack him, so he can counter them. His fights with Maia and Leites are perfect examples what happens if his opponent is not engaging him. Diaz had a good gameplan, He refused to lead and taunted Anderson so He can frustrate him and turn the fight into a brawl with Anderson leading the attack. Didn't happen though and Silva just kept his movement and picked him apart. If he doesn't retire I would like to see him against Bisping and I think Anderson is going to destroy him, or maybe fight with GSP.

Also I think Lawler - Diaz is going to be amazing fight. Too bad I don't see how they can make it happen.

Seemed like Anderson was struggling with the temptation to out-taunt Diaz all fight. I gotta give him some credit for keeping his cool and sticking to a solid gameplan. Also he had pretty decent cardio for an older guy.

He probably earns an absurd amount of money, if he takes some more fights though.

Was really impressed by his movements, kinda confused, so much talk a bout Diaz having godlike Cardio, but he spends so little energy, almost standing still most of the time, or slowly walking forward or backward. After the fight, seems like he's got tons of energy left. Weird that he doesn't push himself to his limit, and see how that goes.

Definitely still some huge matches out there for Anderson. If he's not climbing the ladder then matches with Rashad/Rampage/GSP would be huge events. If he's going after a title shot tons of other cool matchups like Bisping/Mousasi which could lead to Weidman again.

If he wants to leave a really strong legacy he should retire right now.
If he wants to print loads of moneys he should finish his contract, although I doubt he would be in any bad financial state in the next two decades at least

I think in Anderson's case there's still the possibility to combine the two. He's not just going to go down losing to every competitor.

You re most likely right, I just felt kind of sorry for the guy when he won and started crying, like as if Weidman took a part of his soul or something :/

A G.O.A.T. like Anderson ought to be ble to retire with 100 mil in the bank seeing as how much money he's brought in with the promoters/UFC itself and all.

Knew my Diaz bet was bad, bad bad bad. Made it like 6 months ago, the realized it was rigged.

Maybe it wasn't rigged by contact, but that fight was certainly rigged.

I only saw one fighter trying to win that fight, the other one was laying down and stuff.

For the money. They did it for the money.
