Hero has effective stack of 1k and this is like the second hand since i just got to table and villain is unknown.

Everyone is someonewhat chatty and pretty comfortable at the table i see a few regs i know and say whats up. Onto hand

I get 5s7s in utg+3 and just limp in. I dunno preflop was kinda like i just got to table talking to my neighbor and scoping out the table sort of deal. It goes 4 handed to flop.

Board is 5 8 2 rainbow with one spade and big blind donks 15 dollars into the pot. I think here is a good spot to pop him and make it 45. Reason i raise here is most people check raise their big hands and i could push off a weak 8. Also, i could rep a set since i limped. He calls. Turn is a jack of spades he donks a bet of 10 dollars this time. My mouth waters as i quickly grab a black chip and make it 110.

Then this mofo has the nerve to make it 385! I scoff at him and think to myself wtf? His line is just so wtf. Never played with the guy before and its possible he is just spazz raising some random shit into me but in my head i say that would be just suicidal and say maybe he has a set? Is two pair even reraising me? The only hand i could think of that is fcking with me is 3s4s becuz i got the 7s.

I got kinda annoyed at this guy and kinda called him on turn outta spite even if i might only have spades. River bricks he jams i fold. He then shows a K of clubs. Im guessing K8 but who knows.

I think fundamentally my logic was reasonable except my turn call was really bad becuz if a 7 or 5 comes im left with another derp decision.

Im annoyed becuz im not sure if I played the hand ok or if i got outplayed. And im not sure how he re raised me on that turn either.

limping pre to get a feel for a table that you dont know then going ham in a limped pot seems incompatible

Just urban dictionary going ham and thats funny as shit. I dont think i was going hard as motherfcker though and my spots were clear raises. If anything he was the one going ham.

Its just so often these games become cockswinging contests that you get these ridiculous hands where people will stone cold bluff you just cuz.

Is jamming the turn ever a viable option or i should just fold?

flop def isnt a clear raise. turn def isnt a clear bet. the point is if youre going to be in a cockswinging contest maybe you might want to actually figure out how that guy swings his cock instead of/before thinking about putting in 200bbs in a limped pot. this is just mindless button clicking without a read

So many live pro warped/bad logic going on in OP

Limping pre in your spot is just a losing play. I know some people who would open this in softer games but I think it's a fold just about always.

Raising flop is a thing I see lots of people do live. I don't understand why we do anything besides call on the flop. There's no reason to turn a hand that figures to be good a decent amount of the time (on the flop) into a bluff, especially in a limped pot.

The rest of the hand is just button clicking as well and if you want to compound previous mistakes into making even bigger mistakes, then yes, go ahead and bomb turn and jam over his 3bet that is in all likelihood a very strong hand

online bob is actually a pretty smart person, not at all like the creepy fucker that sits in the sofa telling me he does nasty shit to me when im asleep - pinball

Pretty sure I only like raising flop here with 2 pair, sets and 67/46/43.

I would definitely prefer raising if you're going to play the hand. Limping is pointless especially if you're limp calling. There's no benefit vs just opening it yourself. It's one thing to limp behind people but it's another to open limp. Flop I mean I don't love the raise but I'd hate a call more. I think some guy leading into 4 people here isn't gonna have a draw or weaker haND enough. So it's probably better to turn it into a bluff than flat. That said it's questionable without reads. I don't hate it that much tbh. Besides OESD or gutshot. It's the best hand to do it with vs what's likely 8x. The board will develop really well for us somewhat often to keep bluffing. Turn I insta raise. Honestly it's not close when you take this line on flop. If he's a young guy tho that would make me hesitate. When he raises... I've like never taken this line and gotten raised before. Fking crazy lol. If I have flushdraw I call and just expect.him to bluff it off or have a hand and shove river. So ez call wirh flushdraw to try and suckout. But id fold otherwise

cliff notes prob fold pre. prob fold flop. prob raise turn.

I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance, by running away from the scene of an accident.Last edit: 08/08/2016 12:19

also. just because you're good at hand reading doesn't justify weird/bad plays. just play solid poker and rape him if you can hand read well..shouldn't be too hard at a 2/5 live game.

wtttttttttf is this thread..

So you limp with a shit hand, then you raise with 2nd pair of 5 on a rainbow connected board..

fold or raise pre, flat flop as played..
