Alan Zilberman seems like a movie critic whos only chance of grabbing the attention of anyone is by acting like an intellectual and hating on the most mainstream villain that everyone likes. I doubt this tweet is his belief, it's more of a bait to bring attention to him, quite petty.

Also I'm on Twitter but I only follow a few people that I find valuable and generally don't read mainstream hashtag tweets cause 99% of the tweets are of pure idiots. One time I did, I saw some retarded 50yo investment broker saying that people that don't wear suits don't respect themselves so nobody will respect them(or something along the lines) and actually tilted me, to which I told him to discuss his idiotic argument with Nassim Taleb and he blocked me, so I cba wasting time on such places

P.S. Nassim Taleb is a prominent attacker of imbeciles that believe suits validate them and always gives the advice to stand away from such people if possible, and if not to just make fun of them, cause that's all they're worth.

it's not too bad, old people die sooner rather than later. so long as humans never acheive immortality we will be fine.

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/trum...n-no-longer-accept-illegal-immigrants

Lol why do politicians keep saying this shit. We know its a lie, they know its a lie, its a waste of everyone's time. Capitalism best works when immigrants come to your country and drop the cost of salary for employers, so they acquire more profit. There is zero incentive to stop illegal immigration for American politicians cause of the lobby that sponsors them... Like I wouldn't even be surprised if the detention centers caught immigrants are put in are private entities on government subsidiaries even, but honestly cba to even google that

capitalists have been increasing their profits from outsourcing labour, locking labour into countries ensure's that they can keep it this way. In chomsky's 'profit over people', which was written in the 1990's, he points out that as NAFTA was being put through, border patrol on mexico/US border was being beefed up at the same time. One of the biggest goal's of socialists is to have free labour, that can pass between countries. This would ensure fairness between labour of all nations, and i think free market economists and socialists would agree on this. it is not true for all cases that capitalists benefit from restricted labour, but the big corporations certainly do.

Suppose you made it a complete free labour market-so every unskilled labour in the world earned $3 an hour, i think the government would be in serious trouble-capitalists don't have total power-their are limits to what they can do to the working class.

Capitalists hate free market capitalism-remember all companies would earn zero profit if it was fair.

That's an utopia though for it to happen. In practice, there s no way that the labor markets will be equal, thus immigrants are quite good for them, cause they drop price of labor and increase their profits. You could otherwise argue that outsourcing would do the same thing in the end, cause they would increase the standard of life in those countries via outsourcing the production, thus raising the labor prices in the long run...

I would only change the "increase profits" to "reduce production cost", it sounds the same but one implies instant cash, the other assumes competition will follow suit.

Outsourcing labor increases the barrier of entry for businesses to many markets, its easy for a corporation to outsource manufacturing and have a department overseeing that, but a small business its difficult to establish those connections even with Alibaba that has helped a lot in that regard.

no-borders is only sustainable when the state offers no welfare, otherwise you get a massive influx of uneducated and unskilled population that will be a net drain in the budget

You are wrong, overall lower wages doesn't mean more profits because the competition will also pay lower wages, so the price of the product will reach an equilibrium (price will drop).

It would mean more profits only if you can pay less wages but your competitors can't (which happens when small businesses cant oursource).

So macroeconomically wages across the board (like minimum wage) have no effect in the profits of businesses, it has an effect on the price of the product, that is the reason why raising minimum wage has tiny effect on wealth redistribution but has huge effects inflation wise since what you are doing is paying more, but also things cost more.... (and the even bigger impact is the unemployment it causes since automation and outsourcing get incentivized)

hm actually true

Don't really agree with outsourcing being only an option to corporations nowadays though, it highly depends on what business you're running, obviously the tougher know-how and skill required, the harder it is for the average business to outsource since the costs dramatically increase e.g. they won't be able to invest into education of individuals abroad that will potentially become their workforce (like major tech corporations enter foreign markets... they literally hire every imbecile with half a brain, try to train them and a few years in start actually filtering people)

Indeed now its spreading to medium and smaller businesses through globalization and Alibaba in particular, now you dont need to travel to China and get an expensive agent, which is good because they can now reduce manufacturing cost like big businesses but its terrible for workers because even less jobs are created.

Julian Assange has been arrested and already found guilty of a lame charge in the UK, while the USA are also gonna try to convict him. Apparently, he s gonna have a hearing with the DOJ on the 2nd of May online

I don't think the USA can do shit directly. People are gonna go bonkers cause convicting Assange on the charges they've put would literally destroy the freedom of speech in the USA. One thing I've noticed about Americans is.. they could be anything, but if you touch their guns or their freedom of speech - bad things are gonna happen to you. Anyway that only means they're gonna try to tackle him another way

The American case is so weak it actually sounds shady as fuck. He is the biggest information leaker to ever exist, there is no way thats ALL they've gathered to indict him for??? The man helped people realize how terrible US foreign policy is

I used to think that and wanted Assange to face trial so the bomb finally exploded until I saw an article written by another whistleblower that gave a better and much more grim perspective. Apparently these whitleblower cases where "national security" is involved they are all tried in the same court by the same judge, I think this judge has tried like 50 cases, with a 100% conviction rate, Chelsea Manning included, so Julian Assange wont see justice, he will be thrown in a hole.

Democrats dont like him because they were told he is a russian agent because he published Hillary's emails and republicans dont like him because they were told that he compromises the lives of soldiers when he reveals military secrets.

Actually the majority of mainstream "journalists" also oppose him, CNN and FOX alike, not foreseeing the press-persecution presedent they are setting.

Long story short, Assange is going to rot in a prison cell, such a sad fate for the biggest mankind hero of the last decade.

Not sure what you mean about freedom of speech, military secrets are highly protected in the US and you will get seriously punished if you leak them. In bradley manning's case he was in the military, so different laws applied to him. I'm guessing the US want's to prosecute assange over something in the espionage act, or something similar, but i'm not sure how exactly it works for an australian citizen commiting crimes on non US soil, and US law.

Imo wikileaks has been of good value, but perhaps overated in it's value. Simply making war crimes known to the public actually doesn't change much, since the new york times published war crimes in iraq all the time during the invasion-but they glorified them. How we value war crimes is of more significan't importance- or simply recognizing acts as crimes is a good start. Facts only do so much and we need to understand history and the hypocrsy of it as well, and just how savage and cowardly the military was. The media has portrayed the iraq war as having a few bad apples like abu graib, but it was actually non stop bombing unarmed poor people. yep, and it's around a million dead in afghan/iraq 'wars on terror', and almost as many people dead from radiation poisoning as from the atom bombs dropped on japan, from the war that bush senior had in iraq. (also another case of non stop bombing civlians as they tried to flee). It's comical how much that guy was praised by the new york times when he died a couple months back. Word's can't even describe how stupid and immature the average american reaction to the 9/11 attacks, kinda like watching a retarded child who has brain damage that prevents them from understanding hypocrisy, and it was all based on this unthinking feel good revenge lashing out on 2 countries that didn't do anything to them. But i guess it's somehow understandable given all the lies that are going on.
