wtf are you talking about... did you watch the video of the assault?

I'll tell you what I see in that video. I see a guy who has been whitewashing the crimes and the dangerous organization that is Proud Boys, inciting hatred against the left for years, and especially against Muslims and queer/trans people, who was dumb enough to walk at the center of an antifa protest while emotions were riding high, most likely because he wanted to be assaulted to play martyr and get more funding on his Patreon. He was warned several times over the last year by activists that if he kept doing what he was doing he would get hurt. He was warned again the day before the protest. And so he did get hurt, predictably. How hurt? He got punched in the face by only one person, twice. He got kicked by only one person, twice, on the leg.

Now, because context is everything and we are all interested in being as objective as possible, show us an instance of far-right groups who have a leftist surrounded so we can see how they treat him. Let's see how they escalate their violence. I'll bet you that you can't find them doing less damage than this. You can also see that that there are other antifa people coming to protect him when they judged that this isn't necessary. Two people walk with him protecting his back and making space for him to exit the protest. Again, find me some right-wingers who treat their opponents this way. Just find me one instance of this happening. I can find a lot of instances of antifa activists protecting people, including their enemies, once they judge that they got the message (usually pretty damn quickly).

The antifa guy who got shot at Berkeley was trying to protect people. The far right inflicts life-threatening damage to people, while leftists intend to inflict corrective damage. That's the difference. Yes, it can get out of hand, and yes, some acts can be denounced. That doesn't make the entire thing bad. This was one single guy in a large group of antifascists, yet you talk about it as if everyone who was there had a part in it, they're all the same, and I'm apparently the same as the guy who punched him even though I wasn't involved, lol. well you can split hairs on what an "ethnostate" is but inasmuch as any country like Israel or Japan has foreign residents and citizens, likewise the justification for Kurdistan is ultimately ethnic grounds
