That's a fair point, but also why it's not advisable and should be discouraged. Playing the victim here, mutilating yourself and claiming others are transphobic because they don't conform to this radical and unnatural change you've purposely made is absolutely ridiculous. Why should they? What a given person has decided to choose for their future is not something you can negotiate by calling them transphobic. People have full right to look at someone that doesn't have the ability to provide them with a family and who purposefully chose that for themself as undesirable, both mentally and physically.

They are not unhappy because they are 'mutilating' themselves. As a matter of fact they don't see that as mutilation at all, it's just another expression made to target them explicitly. The 'natural' bias is so fucking bad it is insane. It's also unnatural to be on the internet or have antibiotics, you are probably older than 30 it's most likely because of something unnatural that you are still alive up to this date.

I didn't mean to start a transsexual hate bandwagon as I can't imagine how such a person can feel in a society like ours. It's just that boundaries need to be set. The matter of a fact is that their biological structure cannot be fully changed so it's a joke for them to be competing in women's sports as it gives them a huge advantage

I assume you're a male like most people on this site. Imagine a hypothetical in which someone took your brain and put it into a female body - because that's essentially what gender dysphoria is - when who you are doesn't match up with the body you're in. Don't you think you would struggle with that as well? Don't you think you would try to get back into the "correct" body? Then again maybe I'm wrong and you actually would have no issue with riding some dick and popping out some babies just to be normal?

There's a huge difference between taking some "unnatural" medicine and attempting to swap sex via surgery/hormones, they're not even close to the same thing. No worries, it's definitely important to have compassion for people who have fallen victim to mental illness and done this to themselves but absolutely it shouldn't be encouraged or seen as normal IMO. Feel free to think otherwise.

I understand what it is. It's kind of silly to take a fully developed male/female and put them into a body of the opposite sex. Of course, they would almost certainly reject it. I think it's the definition of mental illness to think this way about your body and not hold consideration for how this will affect you for the rest of your life. Mental illness happens to be diagnosed in the majority of Trans people... are we to believe this is a coincidence?

But let's say I'm 9 years old, more pliable and confused about my body etc. Should I perhaps be firmly told to accept that it's something I can't change without irrevocable life long damage? There are massive implications we need to guard others against, not just in the eyes of people right now but for how they will eventually evaluate themselves as they get older etc.

I don't see how this is funny though. It only would be if AOC didn't actually help her, which we don't know. Her point is quite legit either way

What's funny is people who buy into this nonsense. There is nothing binding to such a GoFundMe in the first place, no guarantee the money goes to her. Imo there is a high likelihood that all the contributors will be refunded because of the political nature of it. Even if it it went through, it wouldn't be representative of the caring nature of the people involved, it's a political stunt attempting to manipulate public opinion. If you were to survey these right wingers/libertarians and see how often they directly donate to people in need, you'd find very few of them do. Less than the left-wingers they are trying to portray as greedy.

And of course it ignores the main point. If you're in need and not attached to someone famous, or you're not giving them publicity, they don't give a shit about you.

Edit: Just saw the campaign update and all donators are going to be refunded - no surprise there.

Her take is a bit too personal for me, she should really be blaming the whole republican party, rich people, the media and most of the economics profession for the hurricane's damages, not just Trump. But yes Trump has probably done more than anyone else in the world to bring about more intense hurricanes.

six-figures is easily enough to afford all rights, but I generally put the blame on those earning far in excess of that, it is a simple fact that holding onto that much wealth means they are not giving it to causes or people who really need it. This is why, (imo) being a billionaire is a form of violent extremism, because if you are one you've made the decision to not put it into healthcare/higher wages, or any of the other things that ensure human rights are fulfilled. Also I don't really like making personal criticism, i'd much rather blame everyone including myself than just some random person, weather they are a billionaire or politician.

I see that it is on me to make a case for Obrador not being a leftist. It may come down to Toe-may-toe vs Toe-mah-toe semantically. I am sure he is left of Biden but that is an easy task. I did not mean to insinuate that the CIA shot down the helicopter in this case just that they created the diabolical playbook in Latin America.
