Pretty sure most ISIS recruits know little to nothing of Islam, and are "Muslim" by birth so to speak more so then devoted "Muslims".
As per leaked ISIS docs not that long ago.
This is an oft-repeated claim in major anglo media, and it's a fairly strong example of projection in the sense that it's a narrative people would prefer to believe rather than one based in reality. Also similar to the 'poor marginlized youth' narrative that has no basis in reality (most foreign ISIS fighters are from the middle / upper classes, and the over-representation of trained engineers in Jihadi networks has been written about extensively for the last 2 decades)
ISIS used to award 10k to each proven Hafiz (someone who has mesmerized the entire Quran), they even put out videos of the winners on youtube celebrating it. Those "internal documents" that Independent had also either intentionally or through journalistic incompetence didn't factor in the cultural aspect of Wahabbi Sunni's to always treat your understanding of Islam with extreme humility.
For example, from the infamous AP article:
An AP analysis of thousands of leaked Islamic State documents reveals most of its recruits from its earliest days came with only the most basic knowledge of Islam. A little more than 3,000 of these documents included the recruits' knowledge of Shariah, the system that interprets into law verses from the Quran and "hadith" — the sayings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad.
According to the documents, which were acquired by the Syrian opposition site Zaman al-Wasl and shared with the AP, 70 percent of recruits were listed as having just "basic" knowledge of Shariah — the lowest possible choice. Around 24 percent were categorized as having an "intermediate" knowledge, with just 5 percent considered advanced students of Islam. Five recruits were listed as having memorized the Quran.
The entire premise of the articles, is that because the majority of Jihadis filing an application to join ISIS didn't label themselves as "advanced" in Quranic knowledge it means they don't know anything about the religion. In reality saying you had advanced knowledge of the Quran is something that is rather taboo to do unless you're a well respected Imam who has gone to specific theology schools.
I'm not saying that the rank and file ISIS member is a graduate of Cairo's top Islamic theology programs, but this idea that they've never read the Quran that is implied by those articles is pure journalistic garbage.
I assume you are exaggerating to make a point; literally no one ever said that.
Memorizing the quaran , doesn't make someone more devout. Enjoy the info, though it has no relation to point that most terrorist (especially the Frontline) are not doing it because of "Islam".
I dont have the knowledge you seem to have about the subject, but seems to me your mostly theorizing (especially the humility part).
I'll stick with most of them have little knowledge of Islam, despite their cultural 'humility', and their desire is violence.
And also, poor or not, my theory is based more on ignorant people (easily brainwashed), with violent behavior (mostly trauma related) as the cause, poor or not.
There has to be other reasons then religion, when white middle class kids from Canada go off and join a hyper violent organization who's main goals is to bring down the modern corrupt global establishment (in the kids eyes).

You're right yeah, my examples sucked and did fall under that information fallacy ( which I didn't know was called that way so I guess thanks for teaching me something).
I still believe my point of view is right thought, if you identify with beliefs, but do not follow those beliefs, how you identify as does not matter, cause its groundless. Humans are wired in consistency for a reason.
Just because its masses that are doing it, doesn't make it true either. As the reasons behinds the deeds are different. It's how propaganda works too in a way

IS are muslims. regressive leftists are liberals. rioters are anarchists. Nazis are trumpeteers. I'm fine with all these, but I'm not fine with defining any group based on the least savory elements, and I don't think the greater body of any of these groups should be held accountable for the actions of those smaller minorities.

"trump is going to kill all the gays"
"trump wants to repeal the 19th amendment"
"trump wants to put black people in camps"
-no, that's just nonsense that you made up
"lol isn't it sad when that's the best defense of drumpf you can think of?"

I don't know how that surprises you still. Its only normal for false news to spread considering the US president is the biggest topic in the world right now, so "medias" are trying to capitalize on it. It happens with every new chief in office, its just that Trump enabled them to reach new limits on that.

(f) Suspension of entry or imposition of restrictions by President
Whenever the President finds that the entry of any aliens or of any class of aliens into the United States would be detrimental to the interests of the United States, he may by proclamation, and for such period as he shall deem necessary, suspend the entry of all aliens or any class of aliens as immigrants or nonimmigrants, or impose on the entry of aliens any restrictions he may deem to be appropriate.

Unfortunately for Trump (or Bannon) he took it as "I can do whatever the fuck I want" instead of building a full proof order that would of passed through the judiciary system.

From what I understand none of the rioters were actually students, it was some sorta paramilitarized outside group. Probably paid to be there. The idea is milo's ppl set this up themselves to make Berkeley (a left bastion and stronghold of free speech) and the 'left' (hate even using these words such Bullshit. As though the whole thing isn't much more nuanced) look dumb and hypocritical. Just listen to Milo's little monologue. Isn't even the first time he has done this on a college campus. I've seen the police try to shut down bigger gatherings than this little thing at berkeley. If he really wanted to speak he could have. Noone evacuated him but his own ppl and to say police were actively allowing violent rioting is an absurd lie

I'm pretty sure you can see how his order was rushed and poorly planned.

Cool quote
I want him to properly argument the order he issued, cause the " threat " is hilarious. I'm sure you've seen the statistics, how exactly would those " aliens be detrimental to the interests of the United States ". Cause from what I've read no one in his team manages to give an adequate response to that, nor to the fact that the ban doesn't extend to countries like Saudi Arabia.
I get it, he has the right to do so, cause he thinks thats the right move... doesnt make it any less retarded, especially when you restrict the entrance of people that already possess green cards and permanent residence in the USA
Further proof that his order was planned by 10 year old is that he's already announced "new measures" coming up next week.
Which further leads me to keep believing, that his general startegy of putting the bar so low initially (on all his policies) so his actual policy moves are perceived as moderate. Smart though no idea how long it will work with Americans.

Update, Despite going all out in CAPS mode on Twitter "SEE YOU IN COURT" , white house won't challenge ban suspension in the supreme Court, I assume because someone told Trump that his order was probably written by 10 year old child.
So Yea Santa, keep spewing this rethoric of "Trump is being blocked by a liberal agenda"
Being blocked by the LAW and his own stupidity.

Banning people with green cards is simply wrong, these people live in the US and have their lives in there
