As I pointed out about a month ago in your blog, automation doesn't contribute to inequality. It's political/economic policy. The automation narrative is a way of deflecting blame, imo. It's quite easy to see, that if you make a machine twice as fast, that this in itself shouldn't increase economic inequality. In fact, you would expect it to make society better off and have no predictable effect on inequality. So it has to be some other reason. I think my simplistic 10 year old child logic here works flawlessly .

The technology is not the problem but it does make it easier to control populations under the Kings.

Yeah there's a recent trend in calling capitalism neo-feudalism or techno-feudalism instead. The logic behind that is people are handing their data over to big tech so that they can live off the cloud.

Trump was -200 to win after Biden pulled out, now Harris is a slight favorite.

I haven't followed the race, so I don't know why the betting odds shifted so much.

I'm just sad that I haven't followed politics this year. I could have made some good money betting on both sides at plus odds.

At this point in the race, I'm too lazy to look into either side.
