I remember when Bill Maher interviewed Steve Bannon and Maher said Republicans are popular because they are willing to speak on programs like that, meaning even in front of hostile audiences. I think Trump on Rogan was great. It was a bit alarming that he thought there could be life on Mars, but other than that, it was good. When he did Lex Fridman, it was full political speech, but I think he was more natural on Rogan.

I haven't noticed my life change much during the last four presidents we've had in USA. While I voted Democrat, I don't really care who wins in the end since they're all puppets, imo.

I believe a few democrats went on Joe Rogan last election, such as Bernie Sanders. If I remember correctly, Joe Rogan was in favor of Bernie Sanders and said he'd vote for him. The standard view many seem to have on the left is that Rogan is a grifter (or supporter of grifters) on the right wing. But that doesn't invalidate the fact that he and many of his viewers supported one of the most left wing presidential candidates in US history, simply because Bernie used the strategy of talking about things that matter.

There is a lot of merit to Kamala showing up. Particularly if people on the right think that simply by showing up means she's not as elitist and arrogant as they might think she is.

I must admit: I do have some respect for Trump taking every possible risk to win this.

I think Elon has a mix of adhd, mild autism and narcicissim. Weird combination. I think his adhd is kinda obvious as he switches between work addiction and gaming or shit posting addiction. He clearly has issues with executive functioning.

I think it's kind of a moot point for people to focus so much on whether it's intentional or not. The de nazification of nazi symbolism is borne in small part because they were barbaric, and in large part out of hypocrisy. Liberals establishment cannot understand this hypocrisy.

Elon and Trump have already imposed severe austerity including defunding a lot of good stem and health research. Not only that, but their climate policies will have an effect on increasing the public health budget of every nation in the world incrementally for eons to come. I just wish people would listen to the economists I despise because even they have reasonable opinions here.

Austerity. Let's defund it all. Fuck science. Fuck research and development. Fuck utilities. Fuck the environment.

You can actually get life expectancies of around 85 just from having strong communities and universal Healthcare. There are places in Costa Rica that have those outcomes.

Even if someone is useless at their job its better for society to just pay them subsistence level than throwing them into the streets, because their money at least goes to supporting local businesses, supermarkets and such. Austerity is politics, not economics.
