Trump's policy of media chaos is working perfectly.

Just about any media organization in the USA is now more about pushing an agenda and TV ratings for ad money. News is all about profit which is selling a story, and the best stories are typically slanted reality it outright fiction. The obsession with "fake news"....Well real news doesn't sell and even on a local level here, thr news is a joke.... Let's see what Kim Kardashian did today! Oh my god the Oscars might be racist. George Clooney speaks out! And in our town, kitten rescued from tree! Are blacks being stereotyped?!

Find out what deadly virus we have to be afraid of next! Tune in at 7!

It's all competing with prime time with a focus on ratings. Who the hell even knows what's really going on anymore?!

WikiLeaks , to the USA media, is a terrorist organization or in bed with Trump... Nevermind what they actually do, they just steal stories from the propaganda machine.

Wanna know why Americans are so naive and out of touch with the rest of the world? Come for a visit and try to access info and educstional materials that haven't been politicized.

Also CNN is awful guys. CLA to be a news site and 50% of their displayed content or front page is "sponsored content", ads for scammy products and celebrity worship and gossip

I don't mind being extremely critical of the CNN, but comparing them to Infowars is hyperbolic. Alex Jones is either faking it or clinically insane.

I think Jones is indeed schizoid, but all right lets call it hyperbole, then let me make a new more precise statement, CNN is the equivalent of Breitbart and I wouldnt blame Obama if he didnt invite Breitbart to the whitehouse.

And its not CNN/Buzzfeed isolated, the bullshit the WallStreetJournal pulled with pewdiepie (and still defends it) is atrocious

Tim Pool goes to.... Rinkeby. Nothing in media yet ? . If you dont know him, he went to Malmø/Rosengård in Sweden to check out the claims made by Donald Trump. (He saw nothing in Rosengård, and that was a news article a few days ago)

This has been floating around and I've found to be pretty much accurate. If anything its artificially balanced in adding random lefty sites no one reads.

I also find that pretty accurate, although I've definitely seen slate and vox articles that move them closer to the huffpo segment. And I'm also willing to admit that cnn has developed a partisan bias - but they're more guilty of being basic and sensationalist than of bias. Either way the gray outlets are all reputable and trustworthy, and none of the bottom right or bottom left outlets should be given credibility at all.

Yeah I feel like CNN's sensationalism paired with this election cycle caused CNN to seem more biased than it is. Trump constantly makes edgy and confrontational tweets often about celebrities, and CNN keeps reporting on it center page (often negatively) since controversy and conflict is what sells. If anything I feel like they helped him since they effectively allowed him to dominate the news for almost two years.

Pretty sure CNN's CEO or Director or whatever, came out and admitted that himself.

The funny thing is they continue doing it.

The graph isnt accurate at all, pretty much all those supposedly centric publications lean to the left, Slate is pure garbage and I dont think anyone should consider the WSJ as a respectable source of news after their article on piewdiepie

this was really weird. Pool seemed legitimately shook up but what they captured on film wasn't that notable.

fair play to him on his rhetorical question of "is this normal?" regarding the Swedish press alleging he was 'agitating' by filming in a public market though.

I think that img is terrible. If you find NPR, NYT, WaPo to be 'centrist' you simply live in a bubble. I guess some people get confused because they shill for war in Iraq in the past and Syria today.

Putting Slate and Vox anything other than at least in the 2nd furthers left subsection is borderline absurd. To think this you have to be clearly on the lefter end of the left. It's surprising to me that people on LP can think otherwise really.

This isn't "skewing liberal" lol.

Oh noes... how does Trump dare to uninvite them to the WhiteHouse Press conference?, fascist!

Maybe the phone call from the police shook him up ? Same thing happened when Norwegian TV was there.

Despite Baals love for PewDiePie, WSJ is decent newspaper, especially concerning economic/business news/opinions. Although no idea how long that will last, given News Corps usual toxic editorial tabloid style influence over whatever it purchases.

This sudden realization that most newspapers are mostly opinion pieces seems kind of surreal tbh. I guess it's needed (especially for people in VanDerMerde group) so people can start dissecting factual (data) from opinion (bias)

I only listen/read NPR Planet Money section, which is fantastic, highly recommended.

This new generation of "news" ala BuzzFeed and Breitbart and generally the rise of internet tabloids is even more toxic then the mainstream media has ever been, which IMO, is much larger problem then "heavily biased" mainstream medias (which is mostly a problem because most people have no ability to think critically and retain opinions and easily factchecked falsehoods as truth)

I wish one of your guys had children if I could kick them in the fucking head or stomp on their testicles so you can feel my pain because thats the pain I have waking up everyday -- Mike Tyson
