It's just not as useful comparatively when there's no strikes involved.

I wish judging would catch up with that aspect. Awhile ago but an example was Condit vs Hendricks. Hendricks did almost nothing on top besides receiving Condit elbows from the bottom but every judge just gave em to Hendricks for nearly harmless takedowns
