+165 maia seem like decent value? Hes been on a tear.
I think its a terrible bet, he barely beat Masvidal and this is a worse matchup, he is not going to be able to take Woodley down
Maia can get Woodley down. Will he get him down tomorrow? No idea.
If I was gonna bet Maia, I'd only bet his submission line at +315.
lol what does that even mean? a banana peel can take Woodley down, but what I'm saying is that its unlikely that Maia manages to take Woodley down on their fight, I think under 20% odds
I'm telling you guys, Jones has something in his mind other than this fight. Luke and other reporters are puzzled with all the hate, even his own camp doesn't know why he's pissed with media
I got Cormier and Maia upsetting. Maia can get to him and eat a couple shots and unless he gets KO'ed completely with once punch where he deosn't need to come close to him and win, he's fookd

"A banana peel can take Woodley down." What does that even mean?
Woodley is in the Top 3 for best take down defense in the UFC, alongside Renan Barao and Jon Jones.
Woodley trains wrestling with Ben Askren, and Ben is the best MMA wrestler of all-time. Maia can get Woodley down, but he needs to not do the same "clinch + wrap leg around opponent against the cage" to get the TD against the cage, because he'll waste energy and not get Woodley down.
All of the offensive and defensive wrestling strategies from both guys were covered by BJJ Scout (I posted them in this thread), and I agree with all of them.
I was mocking your post that said that he can.. but he is unlikely to do so, which is exactly what I meant with "he cant", because if we are going hardcore on the realm of possibilities a banana peel can take down Woodley.
BJJ Scout is either Ben Askren or Ben Askrens mom lol.
If this fight goes to the ground its going to be on Maias back, and that will be interesting, can he pull some sick reversals and shit? I dont know, its not like Maia is eager to pull guard even on people with worse grappling and GnP than Woodley

You mean a guy that did retarded shit and got his flaws exposed on a regular basis the past 3 years hates the media? I wonder why
Also, Baal have you ever stepped on a banana peel? It's nothing like the cartoons man...
Woodley looks like a tough match up to Maia, but He has shown some questionable fight IQ in the past.
Adding to that the fact that he tends to back himself against the cage in all of his fights it will not be out of the ordinary for Maia to drag him down somehow. And Maia's ground game is so dominant that he does not mind to pull guard and work from there to reverse his opponents. We have seen it in almost all of his fights and even recently against Masvidal.
btw Masvidal also was a very tough match up for Maia, in fact more so than Woodley, he has insane TDD and also better striking, imo. And lets not forget how Maia dealt with Sonnen, Fitch, Story to name a few. He can deal with wrestlers just fine.
Last time Tyron fought a similar opponent he lost a split decision against Shields. Fight should be close and I am rooting for Maia. Not sure about betting though.
Woodley has that breakable spirit when he's not ahead, also gases with anxiety. Maia breaks people for a living. Unless he lands something that really cracks Maia, it's going to be a boring ass fight on the ground. His small mouth and chin is also a thing i hate about a fighter's durability lol
Cerrone is frail as a welterweight, prone to body shots breaking him. If the old Lawler still exists, it'll be easy
Jones is on tilt and has a lot on his mind ,meanwhile Cormier always only had him on his. That OSP fight was very telling about USADA/Jones, then disappears again for a year he's definitely going to be worse
With picking Broner over Garcia I just feel Broner is at his best when he is the underdog, I love a comeback story so i put in a small bet, also Mikey is moving up a weight class, Broner the bigger more adjusted guy

Pretty much how i see it.
And who did really try to take woodley down? I cant remember anyone really trying and if there was someone, was he on Maias level?

The only decent grappler he's fought was Gastelum and Gastelum fought him standing up the entire duration of the match as far as I remember so... Maia s obviously on a whole other level
Gastellum is trash, im so surprised how bad the roster has gotten that people insist he's worth a fart, Miocic and Whitaker are also just waiting for somebody in the real top 3 to get back into form and smash their ass like Rockhold and Sea level Cain or Ngganou
