- Antonio Carlos Junior and The Ultimate Fighter: Nations middleweight winner Elias Theodorou was initially scheduled to take place at UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Anders. However, Junior pulled out on August 28 due to injury. The pairing was then rescheduled for this event. In turn, on September 13, it was reported that Junior was forced to withdraw as a surgery is required to treat the injury that caused the first cancellation of this bout. On October 1, it was reported that Eryk Anders would replace him.
- A featherweight bout between Renato Moicano and Mirsad Bektic was expected to take place at the event. However, Bektic was forced out of the bout due to an undisclosed injury on November 15. In turn, Moicano is not expected to compete and instead will serve as a "replacement" option in the event that one of the headlining participants is unable to fight at the event.
- John Makdessi was expected to face Carlos Diego Ferreira at the event. However, Makdessi pulled out of the fight on November 28 and was replaced by returning veteran Jesse Ronson that same day.

I mean Shevchenko is 3-0 vs Jedrejzcyk and its not like the MMA rules will change much. It's not like Joanna grapples or clinches. It would be such a bad idea to try to clinch with Shevchenko, considering she seems to be so much stronger, she could probably brute force herself in a better position every time
If Holloway comes out with his A game I dont see Ortega winning, unless he somehow manages to be in his face all the time or throw a random 1 hit KO. Then again Holloway most likely s gonna have a super hard weight cut... Media trying to push Ortega with the "only guy to ever KO Frankie Edgar" ... Frankie Edgar is 37 fuckin years old. He might be an absolute legend, but age is age.

- Ortega is probably 1 inch shorter or so (UFC/Wikipedia shows 5'8, but I think that's wrong)
- Both have the same reach (Max has short arms for being 5'11)
- Ortega has the grappling advantage by a large amount and doesn't need wrestling to get it to the mat (his wrestling sucks, but he has multiple ways to get an opponent down)
- Max starts slow, which benefits Ortega
- Ortega striking has gotten better; it's not as good as Max's and Max has more output, but Ortega's MMA striking is underrated
- Ortega has a great chin, while Max relies on volume strikes
- Max needs to fight on the outside the entire time to win. If he wins, I think it will be by decision.
- Max pulled out of his last fight against Ortega in July 2018 cuz he had "concussion like symptoms." Nobody really knows the truth. If Max is even just 1% worse because of what happened in July, it opens another door for Ortega. If I was betting Max to win, I'd be worried about my bet cuz I don't know if he is going into this fight at 100% health or not.

Shevchenko is like a 10 time Muay Thai world champ, she met Jedrejzcyk 3 times and beat her all 3 times.

Valentina had been training since she was younger and was a lot more experienced than Joanna at the time who was relatively young in combat sports. And yes MMA rules do change the fight even if it's contested mostly on the feet. With that said, I think Valentina still wins but I also think Joanna is going to surprise most with a good performance
Actually see Max getting a late stoppage in the main. As long as his health issues are behind him
Manuwa for the upset

I dont think it will be close, JJ usually gets hit a lot, doesnt seem to have a very good distance awareness, and Valentina is a master here
Dont listen to anything I say

Ironically I thought Ortega was the one who looked drained on the scale and Max looked fine. Never seen Ortega weigh in before though so maybe that's normal for him
Joanna looked great not having to cut to 115. Too bad for her that the judges gave Nunes the close win vs Valentina otherwise Valentina would've stayed at 135 and Joanna prob could've had a stranglehold on the weight class she actually belonged at this entire time
