And yea D2 was dope. If my parents had let me I would have played it 24/7 for months probably. Envied my classmates so much who didnt have these restrictions :D

I dunno If I ll play the game though, didnt like D3 at all. Plus also I dont enjoy these types of games nowadays.

POE 2 looks solid too

Looks like PoE 1 but with better graphics... and unless they got rid of that awful talent building tree there's no way im even trying this. I had a dude explain to me over hours of how to build trees and diff builds and you legit need to spend over 200hrs++++ prob to know what the fuck you're doing currently and it doesn't feel like its worth it. You'd get much more "value" out of other games by spending that amount of time. There are so many other different elements which also require shittons of hours to grasp too.. if you wanna play the game at a decent level it's just insane


And I mean.. huge props to the game designers but its kind of too much for me. I prefer games that have less knowledge-entry but big learning gap than having huge knowledge-entry just to end up doing the same content over and over

isn't PoE exactly that?

You can sloppy alocate your points and stuff and finish the game, its only when you want to perfect your build when it gets complex.

Not really its just that the difference between decent-level and high level is insane, but decent-level of play requires hundreds of hours itself

I had a guy help me out (he had prob over 1k+ hrs played) when i played for a bit and he gave me the basics and did the build for me plus explained basics and I realized it would take ages to improve, simply because there is too many aspects of the game you have to consider

PoE was indeed a sick game but i didn't wanna try that hard on an rpg lol

I just played PoE again... theres a lot of new content, great game the only thing that is weak is the story.

it's crap.

It's super buggy and uninspired. I only played for a bit offline but the game crashed a few times and it removes a lot of your progress, sometimes the whole act when it crashes. Skill rune design is so similar to D3, even visually, it's a total rip off. They also ripped off some monster designs like the Butcher, Kitava, look almost exactly the same and the fights are the same, etc. They even ripped off some POE skill effects like Headhunter and they gave it the exact same name for the same skill. I even caught them ripping off a line from a novel I've read. The story is super boring and feels like a chore to read like it's your average MMORPG. It's a bad mix of both D3 and POE and the gimmick where you can turn the skill tree around doesn't really give you much more options than if they didn't move.

So Diablo 2 remaster is in the works, and I'm bumping this thread to let y'all know that you can play it in its current alpha state right now if you want to, and those who have preordered the game can also play together by LAN.

I got a bit mad at them for wanting 40 euros for a remastered game. Seems so unreasonable...especially considering they won't solve the botting issue, I played Diablo 2 two years ago and it was literally BOTS only and there is no reason for me to think this would change...
