It's really unbelievable what's happened to Team Liquid. I've played Brood War since Beta and was a WCG USA qualifier. No one gives a shit about any of that or any of the products I produce, they just ban me for being disrespectful. I'll be completely honest and say that if you can't appreciate the work I put into my map and these videos then you can fuck yourself. Which is exactly what I would tell the Mod who deleted my post and warned me. I feel like his actions were completely inappropriate, unwarranted, and disrespectful of me and the patrons of Team Liquid generally. I have no idea how anyone who watches the videos of my map, my games, and my content can instantly delete the content and warn me. It shows no regard for Starcraft or any appreciation whatsoever for someone who has played Starcraft and contributed to the community for more than 20 years. I've played (and beaten) a strong percentage of WCG USA national champions, was present at NonY's wedding, knew IncontroL, LzGamer, Machine, Tasteless, Artosis, Day[9], and many others. The fact that no one gives a shit about the content that I create and are willing to go so far as to warn me and delete my content is outrageous. Then to permanently ban me on top of that all that (for merely reposting exactly this same content) shows that my entire career as a Starcraft contributor, Blizzard contributor, and Team Liquid contributor mean absolutely nothing to the organization. |

After looking into it, the thread you posted your map in, was not made for users to share their work. It was specifically about peoples favorite maps throughout the games competitive history.
You received a warning, and replied to that warning by saying you had reported TL to the IC3 (.... which after googling, appears to be short for the "internet crime complaint center"???). Furthermore you said 'go ahead and ban me', which for roughly as long as TL has existed has basically been instantly met by the response of "Well, okay then" followed by a ban.
It's not my favorite policy, but it's been there for a very long time. I don't post a lot on TL or LP nowadays, and I'm sure there are things that have changed (for better and for worse), but I think this particular interaction would have gone roughly the same 10-15 years ago, as it did today.
Your work would probably have been met with a much different response if posted in the correct place (such as the SC2 custom maps subsection). That metropolis one must have taken a crazy amount of work :0 |

Yes, this is my second perma-ban, I am tired of Team Liquid's bullying. I have in fact reported Team Liquid to the FBI and IC3 (for alternate reasons). Incidentally i was summoned to court immediately after (also for unrelated reasons). I intend on making the court appearance.
In my opinion it's time to take legal action against Team Liquid and Nazgul. They're covering for criminal behavior in some cases, and abusing the psychological well-being of others in other cases. Since the welfare of the community doesn't seem of interest to them, and because the actions of the paid administration and moderation are sociologically inappropriate I have taken the appropriate actions myself. I have already talked to my brother about this who works for intelligence and although he doesn't think my specific case will be sufficient to damage the organization, it entirely my intent to allow an investigation of the administration and mods (specifically because they ignore criminal activity and by silencing related complaints encourage it).
I'm very sorry to take this action. As I specified before, I knew incontrol and have used these services for 2 decades. Unfortunately, it seems none of my contributions are of interest to the administration. Consequently, since I get none of the respect I deserve, I've initiated an investigation with the IC3 and wholly intend on providing them with the relevant information. Specifically I will be dealing with Seeker, Olli, and Nazgul.
Just to clarify my end of this I'm a 33-year-old man with 160+ IQ, multiple college degrees, a master's degree and a job. I really don't appreciate random intimidation tactics by masturbating kids behind their computer monitor. |

Having read TianYuan's reply, and the consequent reply of mr failsafe, I concur that such behaviour would've definitely been met with a ban in the past, and gladly it still is in the present. On related note, mr. failsafe, I recommend a thorough meditation and consultation with your closest ones regarding your current mental welfare.
In any case, good effort on the content. I wish you well for the challenges that lie before you. |

failsafe, Dec 03 2017 blog post:
"So a few years back I got diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. I started cooking some self-treatment solutions this year. Surprisingly, thing have turned around and I'm doing alright. I'd like to move to California, Colorado, or one of the States where weed is legal, but so far haven't had the chance.
Money is kind of tight at the moment because I was part of a major doctoral program that closed (Emory University), and was unable to get my master's despite having a 4.0 (because I was unable to complete the thesis for the degree).
Ultimately I got suspended from the university where I completed my undergraduate because of problems related to schizophrenia and evicted from my apartment in Auburn, Alabama. I could never really get schizophrenia under control. I got addicted to ayahuasca and Kung Fu--and that's how I got evicted. I was screaming at night in the parking lot and kicking all the trees."

There were fraudulent actions taken regarding the loss of Reid Melton's job, and a cover-up completed by Team Liquid. The point I will make to the FBI and IC3 is that Team Liquid is psychologically victimizing users of their website, and that the administration specifically is not interested in defending the identity of people accused of committing criminal behavior. In the case of Reid Melton, malfeasance can be proven easily by an IP trace which is a common tactic of police around the United States of America.
Since it seems defamation of identity is specifically protected by Team Liquid's administration, the point I will make to the FBI is that Team Liquid administration is an accomplice to minor criminal behavior. Liquid'Nazgul (who is apparently friends with Manifesto7) is the enterprise-owner of Team Liquid and will be specifically held accountable for the decisions of his administration. I am most interested in explaining to the FBI that minor psychological assault of Team Liquid on a variety of users of their website--which as you probably are aware is the sole source of Starcraft: Remastered commerce. But, personally what I think the FBI and IC3 will be interested in is the treatment of Reid Melton and other victims of the internet mob. Initially I tried to contact the website administration about the fraudulent nature of the case they were making, but they ignored me and banned me. So it will be more enlightening for Team Liquid to hear from the FBI and IC3 about the treatment of their users and the essentially fraudulent "mob mentality" adopted by the majority of the Team Liquid staff. Since Team Liquid shows no respect for the identities of important persons (especially in this case Reid Melton), the exact nature of the malfeasance isn't disclosed here. On the contrary, I am most interested in alerting the FBI to the nature of the Team Liquid behavior generally and to see whether they agree with other psychological authorities as to abusive use of power adopted by the Team Liquid administration. Either way, I am sure not much will come of this, but Team Liquid will most certainly be on the map for the United States of America government--who will hopefully be more attentive to minor criminal activity in the future. |

Hi guys,
I just want to point out again that there was no difference between RiKD's blog posts and 2primenumbers yet RiKD is protected and gets away with everything while 2primenumbers was swiftly banned. As I have mentioned earlier, RiKD should have been warned/banned a long time ago. You guys also need to take away his greenstar. Anyway in this case, some of you same guys are half-mocking a guy with actual mental health issues unlike RiKD who you coddle just because he is "popular" and friends with random ppl with influence on this site.
Why am I such a wise person? |

I mean this in the nicest way possible, but you really need to move on.
I assume you're in your mid 30s (or older) like the rest of us. 99% of the current active posters on TL have never heard of you or your accomplishments, which is expected, as all of that stuff you did was over a decade ago and people have moved on.
The part where you said: "Then to permanently ban me on top of that all that (for merely reposting exactly this same content) shows that my entire career as a Starcraft contributor, Blizzard contributor, and Team Liquid contributor mean absolutely nothing to the organization." The last part is definitely correct. You were around during the 2nd to 3rd wave of top American SC1 players, if I remember correctly -- the current people at TL don't know about you. I remember some of your accomplishments, but again, that was a long time ago.
I did many positive things for the SC1 community in America, Europe, and Korea back in the day. Do you think anyone aside from a few old dudes still playing Starcraft remember that? Nope. Nor do I care.
Don't let the actions of some random gamer get you upset, especially at your age. There are way more important/fun things you can be doing and worrying about instead of TL in 2020.

I'm largely inclined to agree with you... The problem I see from a casual perspective is that:
A) I'm 33 years old with an MA, 2 Bachelor's degrees, and in the process of obtaining a Ph.D. and I'm being treated like an unruly 14 year old.
B) Even if you have no idea who IncontroL or NonY are you should probably have some idea of the significance of their history in e-Sports.
C) I'm being banned for posting a 3-Dimensional Starcraft which is potentially revolutionary to the genre. Is there some reason why the mods don't encourage Starcraft on the only Starcraft forum used by some of the Western world?
The obvious conclusion is that Team Liquid's forums never evolved into a business. They still act as though Team Liquid is an underground organization without any need to pay respect to its patrons. In the real world you can't ban customers or kick them out of your store because they happen to wear the logo of a sports team that you don't care for. |
