Ouch. I got my shit pushed in. I thought I had a good read on the 76ers/Hawks game, but Embiid of all people was the reason why his team lost... Go figure.

I have no idea what I'm the hell that was i witnessed in the 2nd half of the 76ers game. They literally had 30 pts the entire 2nd half. It's the worst basketball i have ever watched. I've only watched the 76ers play twice. Both times i had money on them, both times I almost completely hedge my bet and said nah, let's let this play out.
Last time is when Embiid was injured. I thought surely to God 1 guy couldn't make THAT much of a difference. They dropped the ball in that game too. Both times i was left scratching my head going "what in the literal fuck was that!!!?! How on earth did this team make it to the play-offs. How are they even a professional basketball team!?!

Ok. I'm told. Embiid wss out. That's all. He is amazing. I said hell no, I'm not touching their games. Can't trust them. Weeks later I'm hearing all this hype about how they have solved Trae Young and how good their big men are down low. The Hawks can't stop them. I already know the Hawks suck too, so there is that. It's the 76ers big man hype - Embiid, Simmons, they are putting it all together. I forget about watching the 1st game how trans intentionally foul Simmons in the 4Q because after all his years of having a basketball glued to his hand he isn't capable of mkaing free throws... something most 4th graders who play learn to do

So I hear all this hype. I haven't watched them. Haven't touched their games. Okay, sounds good. I mean, They are at least better than the Hawks right? i put some money in them. Listen to the game at work and on the way home. Everything seems to be going in the 76ers favor. They answer every run by the Hawks. Young is playing less; he's actualky injured. They can't make a shot, i know this can change and they are in Atlanta. But things are not going their way. At the half i go ahead and put more on the 76ers.

I dont watch the game most of the second half. Not till late in the 4th. At this point the have something like 20 pts in the entire half, Embiid is 0 for 12 in the half. 0 for fucking 12. Literally when Is the last time you've heard that? He is their superstar. He is out at the top of the key shooting 3s line they are free throws. In the final minutes of the game. Low fight IQ as they say. He throws away a pass or two. Dribbles off his leg at least once. Has more trouble hitting a basket the closer he gets to it. I don't see Simmons score. He brings the back up but doesn't shoot. I watch him miss a couple free throws. I watch as the Hawks miss a crucial opportunity after crucial opportunity... one time in an attempt to draw a foul in a shot from close to half court. I watch at the end of the game as Trae drivew in the lane against what seem like nonexistent big men who don't step up to contest his floater. I watch as a crucial rebound bounced through their hands at one point in the final minutes, only to be pulled away and dished-into the corner for a three - a three that had it not been made, would have all but sealed the game dor the 76ers.

76ers get a rebound with about 2 mins left. They are up 4. I have a chance to bet on the Hawks. They are still plus money. The 76ers have been successful in scoring in like 1 out of 5 trips down the court. I'm already saying they are done for the night. Obviously they don't have what it takes but i want to believe. Surely it was a bad run. They have been dominating most of the game - they will slow it down and look for a good shot - right? Let's ride with it.

They were done. They didn't come thru on any opportunity at that point. Missing a two-foot layup, knocking the ball out while fighting for it with their own superstar teammate

They were done. I won't bet on them again. I do hope they win because I can't wait to get my money back betting against them in the next round. That was a historic 2nd half collapse. I've never witnessed any one play that atrociously. And i will never again pass an opportunity to hedge out when it's a toss-up with 2 minutes left. It's the only smart and responsible thing to do.

Got Little on the Bucks... mainly due to injuries. Word is Harden will be playing though and... Mor important, there is a real good chance the refs will not allow players to bump and grind and tackle each other which will surely impact the Bucks' ability to contain Durant. It Will essentially be a different sport from the last two games, in that case.

While on the topic isn't it amazing how much power reefs have to effect momentum in the 4thQtr

Yeah I'm tired of it. Enough is enough. To top it off, MB turned off all live betting or had technical difficulties until just now. I have been chatting with customer support since half time until now. In the end they said they would put me on a list of ppl effected and the management get team would decide. I asked for their ontact info to talk to them directly and in the end was given their 1800 CS number.

I guess I have to understand that it's part of sportsbetting and live betting online. Apparently if they have technical difficulties or for whatever reason they stop allowing live bets to be placed there is absolutely no way to put in another wager or hedge a bet
I dont know about you but that's just wrong. I wouldn't have agreed to bet anything had i known i wouldn't be about to live bet as the gamev progressed. I certainly wouldn't have continued betting for the Bucks all while planning to hedge depending on how the 2nd Half went. But, as i said, they took that away because they were having technical difficulties on their end. Bull shit.

I thought they looked really good. I didn't even watch the 2H though as soon as they started falling apart. Was all prepared to hedge lol. Just going to have to bet NBA games like i do MLB, $1s and $5s mostly. I know it's a crazy though and we make fun of people in poker all the time for pushing the idea but it really wouldn't surprise me if I found out the games were rigged. Maybe in a Pete Rose betting against his own team type of thing or whatever. It's just the same script over and over.

In the end it's just how sports go. I do much better betting MMA. Particularly UFC. In MMA, if someone doesn't prepare how they should, makes stupid mistakes, or just didn't out for their best effort they either get knocked-out, choked-out, beat-down, humiliated and on top of that they might not make enough money to eat well and stand to lose their career. Ofc you have upsets, unpredictability and fights were likely Diaz-Edwards where 1 fight dominates in every aspect for 4.99 rds and then either gets starches in the closing seconds or comes close to it.

All in all i think it's more predictable, I think the athletes have more on the line. They have more incentive to ahow up and perform. Blah blah. Just saying. Going to have to really set limits on my NBA betting.
