Miocic should get next title fight. Unexpected way of winning for Ngannou. |
Depends whether Jones wants to fight Ngannou or not, but he s been dodging him for a while now.
Dana hates both Ngannou and Miocic. He'd hate to have that fight again even though it should've been an instant rematch considering Miocic has had the longest HW reign... and them being 1-1
Can't believe Ngannou won a 5 round here

ha hates them? why? |
Miocic and Ngannou complain about fighter pay, and stand up for themselves, which are two things Dana White hates.
Ngannou won the title and defended the title, and he only made $600k for his win over Gane. (Fighters sign contracts for certain amounts, then get upset when they win a title or get famous and are still making the same amount of money, even though the UFC is living up to their part of the contract by paying the fighter what's stated in the contract.) |

UFC is paying retardedly low amounts, the entire scene is mocking them for it. The value of the organization grew about 5 to 6 times in the past 5 years yet the pay has been the same ... for like 10 years now? Ngannou was getting robbed and everyone knows it. UFC only pays big to their superstars and even then someone like McGregor pointed out that he's not paid enough. This is probably true as he most likely singlehandedly increased the value of the organization by at least a billion.
Dana was hoping Ngannou would lose so he wouldn't have any room for negotiation, instead Ngannou can now show him the middle finger retiring as a champ and fighting someone like Tyson Fury or Wilder for 20x the money. I doubt they'll reach a compromise with the UFC since he'll most likely ask for 10 mil+ paydays.
There was an NFT project that paid out some fighters more than the UFC did - https://www.mmamania.com/2022/1/25/22...ge-18k-payout-espn-mma-cryptocurrency
Imagine going in a ring with another person with the chance of developing life-threatening conditions for 16k$
JDS reported that he made more than Ngannou did, on his title fight, for his fights when he was 5th or 5th ranked. 600k$ payday for a HW Champion is an absolute absurdity
Dana is so mad the UFC sent a letter threatening Ngannou to sue him cause his camp talked to someone in Logan Paul's camp... which wasn't even his manager or promoter. They did it RIGHT before the fight. Literally a few hours before. They were already in the arena.
No wonder Dana didn't put on his belt and skipped the press conference. What an absolute douchebag. He created the UFC for what it is, but god is he bad at scaling it
You know shit is going down the drain when Dana is going into shitposting contests with the like of Logan Paul ... and losing them.
Would be really cool of Ngannou and Miocic both leave. HW would be pretty much dead. |
