The only real shot I had at going to Montreal was back when I worked in the steel industry. There was a conference at Sorel Forge which is a bottom-pour ingot making shop in Montreal. The Plant Manager's name was "Giyom" which made me instantly like him. I was pretty close with the Plant Manager at the sister plant in Chicago. Which the original plant was in Lincoln Park next to the Apple Store. They sold that for godly amounts. Anyways, I knew a ton of people from the East Region too so it would have made sense and not just me fucking off in Montreal. The regional manager laughed at me. I had like $600,000 of good business at the sister plant. Unfortunately, I was on my way to millions at the big integrated plant on the lake. I will probably never get to Montreal but you never know. I don't know why I share anecdotes like this I am just bored.

I can think about it a lot. That is probably part of life. Contemplation. Trying. It is difficult for me to meet people and it is only getting more difficult as I age. AA is pretty lame. I'll probably have a season of going somewhat but honestly it's just lame. I could go down to the nerd shop and play warhammer 40k. I don't know if I want to be friends with those people though. Food Not Bombs is once a week on a day I typically work. I could ruminate for some time. There is plenty of evidence of that on this site. It gets to the point that I don't want to think. I'm not a professional philosopher. I just want to play my guitar, or watch a movie, or play video games. I get home at 8pm or 10pm or whenever there is nothing to do in this god forsaken town.

i have half a life lol, i have a lot of free time. when u only need 6 hours of sleep. its hard to find friends to chill with since a lot of my buddies has to hustle while i can work anywhere lol. i need some more friends, cute girls would be nice.

as far as for myself, I have my eyes glued to nevada market. basically only operator there is WSOP.com which I hate their software. the reason pokerstars never was able to launch there was this thing called a "bad actor clause" which stipulates that operators that violated uigea (stars, fulltilt), are banned from operating for 10 years or something. Well that 10 year period ends around next year so hopefully pokerstars launches in Nevada.

honestly this one small thing would make my future plans pretty straightforward

id b down to hang out but my vacation time is too precious especially since i switch companies and i wont have my additional personal days for awhile.

im debating how im going to visit family in korea. its a fuckin brutal plane ride. i am a bit too poor for business class esp with these inflated airfares. first class is like 10k lol.

the thought of flying coach like 15 hrs to korea, spending a few days, then comin back 15 hrs to work the next day sounds horrible to me. (btw loco considers flying coach 1 time to japan for his dream weeb trip baller lol)

Of course it’s native territory btw not province. Hiems u gotta be more open minded.

Its not worth it to pay first class from something like ny-->Miami or even LA because most of those flights aren't long enough and all u get is some extra legroom.

But some of the first class offerings are insane and worth it if its a long ass flight + the right airline + you get a deal on it via loyalty/freq flier programs.

Basically u want an actual bed+shower for a long international flight. If you fly alot and get upgraded or can get the fare cheaper with points is worth it.

Obv would not pay 10k out of pocket for it tho. I think business class was like 4k or something I'm too poor for that.
