It's weird. I think I have been eeking it out so long that losing $100 at online poker would make me sad. I don't really spend a whole lot of money besides the DAW project. If my $100 headphones broke I'd be sad too. I once lost $50k in a day. I was really sad. I am not going to say I would be sadder to lose $100 now than when I lost $50k but it's just funny that that would be comparable. As a poker pro that is all that I knew. Swings had to be more than like $10,000 to get me sad. Now, since I only make $15/hr and spend very little I think $100 NL would take some getting used to. Losing $1,000 at this point would make me very sad. I realize being sad is just a temporary thing but there is also something called bankroll management so risk of ruin is managed to a reasonable level. Like I said, my adrenaline gets going a bit even at 10 NL. It's pretty wild. I would have to rebuild the tolerances to handily beat 200 NL.

I am pretty up to speed on the software. 2 tabling is getting kind of boring. I need at least a 20'' monitor to 4 table probably.

Also, hiems, where can I find that solved pf strategy you were talking about. I could google it but I want the good / right one.

Aren't you glad this is turning into a poker blog?

As much as I love Phil Ivey he's washed up. Linus is the way.

Even if these games are much much closer to a nosebleed private game shit show in China I must learn the way of Linus.

Just tried to 4 table.... That was shaky as fuck and I got tilted.

It feels like 4 tabling is 3+ times as hard as 2-tabling on this software.

This is rather ambiguous.

I dunno how they're allowed to operate or what the legality of these sites are. I just know of them. I want to say ACR allows Americans too but I'm not 100% sure. Either way, I think a small, affordable attempt to see if you'll even enjoy online poker still, before you move to PA, is prob wise.

BBZ Poker has this pf chart with all the possible pf info (openings and 3 and 4 bet stuff). I think you have to subscribe to it for 10 dollars a month.

I realize I cum off mean/narcissistic to rikd.

Not gonna bs any1 and say its all to help rikd tho in a lot of ways I think I have helped.

I don't think I'm an arrogant person. I don't think I'm an internet tough guy either I'm pretty resilient in real life and say stuff that offends/rubs ppl the wrong way all the time while managing to be a functional adult.

No idea what ur expenses r but with 30k gross income u should easily b able to save a 25nl/50nl/100nl roll. Use those to get a decent track record and feel for things.

Ur goals should be 100nl/200nl. Some ppl say 100nl is a waste of time but I think in ur situation I don't think 100nl money is a waste of time esp if u can crush it at a high winrate. Hell even 50nl if u are a good grinder with high winrate.

Agree on monitor size. Don't waste ur time with a 20 inch or 27 inch get a solid 30 inch if u ever gonna buy one.

Plenty of preflop ranges out there honestly its not really that important how "good" or "close to solver" the ranges are but how much u have em down pat and how easy they are to implement. It's better to have a pretty good strategy u can execute.

Not gonna go beyond that because thats too much info on my end on what I'm doing in my strategy right now.

Keep in mind tho financially the #1 thing probably still will b to continue having a good track record on ur mental health, work history and build on that while being good wit ur money.

Whether that's getting a promotion or getting a skilled trade or whatever else.

Also stop listening 2 loco n byungchulhan would b a good as well (serious)

For sure. I definitely have been enjoying it. But, games have been good and I have ran pretty good so far. I think now is the time for suring up my pf leaks. I am probably a little bit too loose overall and weak in the blinds but this won't hurt me in these games. I just need to practice the right way now before bad habits form.

Is it for low stakes 6 max?

The ranges should be adjusted for rake.

RiKD    United States. May 02 2022 17:54. Posts 8992

I realize probably no one in their right mind is going to solve for 10 NL. But, someone could do like 50 NL and then get the mases hooked. I want as close as true solved for micro stakes rake 6 max. I would take 50 NL for free but not if it's GTO+ wizard. Multiple sources said it was inaccurate.

RiKD    United States. May 02 2022 17:56. Posts 8992

Also, is a company matched 401k pretty much always going to beat a run of the mill index fund? That means at least 100% roi additional to whatever the fund makes up to $4,000 or w/e it is. That seems pretty good.

They have different ranges based on rake. I think you'll find ranges that are close enough to nl10 or whatever. Also there are sites that gives you kinda puzzles "what to do in this spot" and then they show results based on some solver math (gtowizard is one). So maybe you don't need your own solver?

I've heard that gto wizard is kind of speculative.

I saw a couple of home grown type of solved pf ranges for low stakes 6max. I was definitely playing too loose GTO wise but probably my exploitations were correct in these games. Still, last session I tightened up a bit and changed from 2x to 3x. I like playing the .25 or .22 game but I don't want to type in my pf raise number and the rake is pretty high to be totally small ballin' it pf.

I'll figure it out I just like seeing what solver says.

RiKD    United States. May 02 2022 19:54. Posts 8992

I feel like I've tightened up a bit for the better but I can't play more than 2 tables so the nostalgia is wearing off a bit. Poker still might be more fun than a lot of video games though. I need the novelty of solvers in my life.

RiKD    United States. May 02 2022 20:13. Posts 8992

How much for a definitive solved pf charts for say 50 NL?

Also, hiems if you give me a solved pf strategy you would also know my strategy as well. And, we are likely to not play together ever.
